She stood on the soft, light tan sand, bare foot. She smiled and wiggled her toes into it, then looked around slowly, drinking in the sight. Her eyes took in the soft blue sea and the foamy white breakers on the top of each wave. She watched them as they calmly lap up onto the shore. She turned to her right, just enough to catch the light breeze with her face. The wind moved her hair, only slightly. She shut her eyes and for a moment listened to the waves and the wind as they combined in a natural symphony. She opened her eyes and looked up at the sky. As the sun slid behind the horizon, the sliver that remained was just enough to paint the sky a rainbow of colors, stretching from the brilliant yellow-white of the sun to the deep navy near the edges of her vision. She walked slowly to meet the end of the dry sand. The damp sand cooled the bottoms of her feet while the water washed over the tops as she walked. She carefully lifted her white ankle length dress to keep it from being dampened by the waves. She waited till the waves were almost smooth before freeing her skirt. The wind gently danced with the soft material. She shut her eyes again, this time to imprint the surrounding in her mind for eternity.
