It was Ruriko Ikusawa, his classmate and captain of the girls' basketball team. It was kind of surprising to see her practicing here as she was usually studying or planning some kind of activity.
"Hi, Ruriko! Practicing for the inter-high?"
Ruriko looked startled. "Omigod! You scared me. I didn't see you there. And yes I am practicing for the tournament."
Shohoku's girls' basketball team started out three years ago when Kogure, Ruriko, Akagi and Mitsui first attended Shohoku. Ruriko's love for the game managed to get the school to start a girls' basketball team. But sadly, no one achknowlege the team even though they have been entering the inter-high since they started.
