ODE TO AERIS

The night extends her shadows over our hearts,

She covers all of us with her darkest glow,

But still, the sky shines, with its mystical darts,

A falling star shall illuminate our souls.

I see the way, there is no reason to fear,

I feel the sun and I can still see the moon,

I can see a river, its waters are clear,

I hear drums and trumpets, we will be there soon.

Ready your shields, draw out your swords and your bows,

The enemy draws near, but she shall not win,

We shall not lose to such a treacherous Rose,

Life's light glows brightly, for it shall never dim.

Our flesh shall be made anew, if we should fail,

The Life stream won't stop, through darkness it will sail.
