1 The Unusual Times
It was a hot and humid day outside, and Minako was on her way to the Juuban Laboratory, so that she could see Bob's new invention. It was March 23, 2002, present day, Tokyo Japan. The time was around 5:45 P.M. and the blonde-haired girl was getting excited. All she could do was keep her pace on her walking.
"I can't wait to see Bob and his big surprise!" she cheered as she finally found her destination. The lab was huge! It looked pretty old by how the white paint on the outside was starting to peel off. Minako walked up to the front steps and knocked on the door. After a short pause the door flew open, sending Minako flying into the air and onto the ground, Bob was at the door with safety goggles on his face, protecting his eyes.
"Oh, hi Minako, " the boy said as he took the goggles off and helped Minako back up to her feet. Bob was not his real name…his real name was Itooshi, but people called him Bob for short. His navy-blue hair was short and spiked-up, he was a skater. Bob stepped aside as he said, "Please…Come in…" Minako soon followed him inside the laboratory not knowing what to expect. "Here it is…" Bob said as he lead Minako to his brand new invention.
"Wow!" Minako exclaimed in awe and excitement. "What is it?" she finally asked as she examined the rather large object. It was huge! The unknown object was like a small dome and had two seats in it. Lights were flashing on the inside, they were easy to see, because of the clear rounded glass.
"It's a time machine, Minako…" he simply replied as he stared at the girl who was looking at the time machine. Bob really wanted to ask her out, but never really had the "guts" to. 'She would probably think that the laboratory is my house,' he said in his mind. Bob always tried his best to ask her, but became doubtful and timid.
"I wanna try! I wanna try! It looks so cool!" Minako burst out like a little kid. She jumped up and down in extreme excitement. "Oh please! PLEASEEE!" she cried. Bob chuckled at this as he said,
"Well, It still has a few bugs that need to be worked out, but I guess it couldn't do any damage…so, okay." Minako was so happy! It was very obvious that she was hyper by now. The girl quickly jumped into the time machine and being the blonde she was, started pushing buttons. One made the glass door shut, another made the lights flash more, and yet another turned on the radio. Bob started to run to the time machine, but soon fell, and accidently pushed a red button outside of the new invention, making it glow. Minako was so oblivious, she was cheering and laughing like a little child, she had no idea that she was going to be transported back in time.
"This is fun Bob!" Minako shouted from the inside. The time machine's glow grew brighter as the lights flashed furiously. Soon a hot blinding light shone everywhere and disappeared. When Bob opened his eyes, she was gone…The time machine was still there, but Minako was gone!
"Minako…Minako!" Bob ran up to the object and started to pound his right fist onto the rounded glass. He soon stopped and looked furiously through the dome-shaped glass, hoping to find her, but he didn't. "No!…Oh no…" Bob whispered as he looked at all the buttons. "Which one? Which one? Dear God! Which button did I push?" The eighteen-year old boy was confused, worried, and angry all at the once…
