Setting her Algebra book back into her locker, Willow began fuming over her teacher. "If she yells at me one more time--", she began to mutter but was cut short by the high-pitched hoot of Xander as he ran towards her. She couldn't help but smile as he ran and jumped around in the halls. He came up to her with an ear-to-ear grin plastered on his face.
As she closed her locker and looked back at Xander he had his 'serious- face' on. "By the look on your face I'm thinking this is important."
"Yes Willow, this is very serious. You might not believe this. And you'll probably be a little dumbfounded," he said as he pulled his chemistry test out of his backpack slowly.
Seeing the mark D+ in huge, red letters at the top of the page she jumped up and let out a little squeal of her own. "YES! Way to go Xand-man!"
His smile grew even wider. Thinking this as one of those cherished moments, he broke out in his famous Snoopy Dance. He just shrugged as Willow raised an eyebrow at his little show of happiness. "Wait until Buffy and the G-Man sees this. To actually think, me, Alexander Harris, made a passing grade."
Impressed with her best friend for his study efforts, Willow linked arms with him and preceded towards the Library. "So what are we waiting for? Let's show 'em your work!"
He grinned down at her as he practically bounced down to the book-holding haven. Oh yeah, this was a good day. One of the few days that they could enjoy something as simple as a D. No boogies under the bed, or prophecies around the corner. Just good ol' times again.
Willow had an all-knowing smile on her face also. She was thinking the exact same thing.
