The Scene opens in one of Syd's famous dreams and of course her mother is her audience.
" Sydney, I'm Home!" said Evan trying to simulate Ricky Ricardo. " Evan, what a pleasant surprise, you're home early." said Syd in a motherly voice. " Little Evan is in his bed and he wants you to go read him a bedtime story."
said Syd. " Yes dear." said Evan sweetly.
Syd's mother breaks their conversation and reminds her that their new relationship can't always be perfect.
" I hate to break it to you darling, but you can't live in black and white T.V. forever." said her mother blountly.
" Mother! you are ruining my fantasy." said Syd " Dear, it's more like you are going to ruin your job," said her mother, " You're Late!"

" Ahhhhh," yelled Syd " I'm late for work!" She jumped out of bed and ran into the kitchen to meet her father, Jonie, and Hannah. " Morning Syd." said Dr. Hansen. " Sorry guys," hurried Syd " can't stay for breakfast; I'm really late."
" Bye Syd." yelled Jonie as Syd ran out the door. " Dad, can you babysit for me tonight?" asked Jonie " Sure, but where are are you going?" asked Dr. Hansen. " On a.......UH...... date." said Jonie hesitantly " With who?" He asked again " With.....UH.....my.....UH......new professor." she finally said " That's terrific!" said Dr. Hansen excitedly
" So, will you babysit for me?" she asked again " Absolutely, i'm gonna have Pete over here anyway." said Dr. Hansen. " Great Dad!" said Jonie thankfully

At Robbie's house, he and Tina are having a big fight about what pattern they should use for the nursery.
"For the last time Robbie, We are going to use the pattern with the pink bunnies!" belted Tina " Tina, we're going to use the pattern with the yellow ducks." yelled Robbie " No we're going to use the pattern with the pinl bunnies!"
screamed Tina " ducks." stated Robbie " NO, bunnies" said Tina
Pete comes in stops the fight. He suggest the best idea they have ever heard.
" Hey Mom, Robbie, Why can't you just use the ducks if it's a boy and bunnies if it's a girl?" said Pete suggestively"
Thanks Petey," said Robbie " that's not a bad idea !" " Yeah, sweetheart, that's a wonderful idea!"
While Robbie and Tina express their apollogies, the doorbell rings and Pete rushes to the door.
" Hello, may I help you." asked Pete " Pete, who is at the door?" said Tina from in the kitchen. " May I speak to Robbie Hansen." said Evan. Robbie comes in and is surprised to see Evan standing in their living room. " OH, hi Evan." said Robbie very shocked to see him " Syd's not here; Try the clinic." said Robbie " Oh I'm not here to see Syd, I wanted to see you." said Evan " What for ?" asked Robbie puzzled " I wanted to know a little bit about her," said Evan " I am planning a surprise."
