Disclaimer: I don't own it, none of it....dangit. All I own are my
characters (the ones you don't recognize) and the storyline is uniquely
mine. Enjoy.
Prologue
My silver cloak trailed the ground as I padded silently through the forest. I was leaving this time leaving for good, and I was fairly sure that nobody would come after me. They wouldn't care. I was shame to them, from the moment I was born- a daily reminder of the stupidity of one of their own. I never thought of it as stupidity, but they always told me it was. Stupidity and carelessness, they said. He deserved what he got, they said. I was the only one who disagreed. But now I was going, and their silent, yet clearly understood wish to be rid of me would be fulfilled. I looked down at my feet, and my eyes were clouded by tears as I thought of how diligently I had worked, trying to please them. I had tried- but failed.
I left because I knew what they said of me. I knew they did not really care what became of me, rather they would think it a blessing. Where I would go, I did not know yet, but I was westward bound, looking for a place where I could be whoever I wanted to be, where I could feel welcome. Night came, but I went on. I had to go as far as I could, for many miles lay ahead before I could have rest.
I know this was short, probably all of my chapters will be short. Is it interesting to anyone??
