You never told me
Okay, you hinted
But I never knew for sure
I guessed but
My guesses were tinted
Your feelings were something unknown
I couldn't tell or understand
Instead I brushed them away
Into the wind
Like grains of sand.

I guess I must not have been noticed
Or misunderstood
I watched you always
You were like some kind of mist
That if I took my eyes away
You would fade into the air
A part of my future
That was never there.
