A boy kneeled by the water side, his white spikes blowing gently in the
breeze as he gazed at his reflection.
"Yami?" He asked his reflection.
'What do you want?!' Came the angry sounding reply that seemed to come from the boy himself.
Silence.
'What did you want?' His darker half asked more calmly, but still sounding a bit angry from being disturbed.
"Why was I picked to hold the millennium ring? I'm not anything special.." The boy asked.
The golden charm around his neck glimmered in the moonlight, he stood from his spot at the water and turned to face a boy who could pass for his twin.
"Well Bakura, the fact that you're my reincarnation might've helped a little in the decision of you getting to be the one to wear my soul on a string." The ex-tomb raider said sarcastically.
"But we're nothing alike." Bakura looked at his other half.
"I look at that as a good thing. If I were anything like you then I wouldn't have reached my teen years."
"If you were anything like me then you wouldn't have an ancient criminal record bigger then Joey's ego." Bakura retorted.
"How can anything be bigger then that?" Yami Bakura arched an eyebrow.
"I don't know...." Bakura paused thoughtfully.
"What is it?"
"Are we actually having a conversation that won't lead up to you trying to pound me into the ground?" He looked at his Yami.
"Maybe...but as for you holding the millennium ring I don't know why fate choose you, but I do think I know why you're named 'Bakura'." The Yami smirked.
"Why?" Bakura asked cautiously.
"Because you're as helpless as a flower and as stupid as an idiot." His smirk grew.
"Hey!" Bakura glared at his counterpart.
"The truth hurts, I'm going to sleep now." The mentally older boy vanished into the golden ring.
As Bakura left the pond and walked to the back door of his house, he called to his Yami.
"You know, I think you're getting soft." Bakura smirked at the enraged screaming he got as a reply.
