Born to a race
That was feared by all
Sent to Earth
To kill
To destroy
Changed forever
By an injury
Learned to fight
Grew up among friends
He met along the way
As he searched for the prize
That belonged to his Grandfather
Forgetting his heritage
He started a family
Defeated his brother
To save his new home
Spared a fallen Prince
Defeated a tyrant
Who showed no mercy
Gained more power
At the loss of a friend
Returned to his home
After being missed by many
Struggled through a disease
That would have killed him
Challenged the beings
Created to destroy him
Gave his life
To save his son
Was reunited with his treasure
When he left us forever
Waving gently
As he disappeared into the horizon
The four star Dragon Ball
That he had searched for all his life
Without even noticing
Came to him
As he died
For the final time
He gave so much
Never asking
Carefree
Loving
Kind
He fought for justice
And peace
and equality
Never once
Thinking about himself
Always for others
He defended and defeated
Loved by all who knew him
Respected by his enemies
Honoured by his rival
A peacemaker
The light in the darkness
A star in the sky
A bringer of hope
He always will be
A hero
A friend
When needed the most
He was there
Changed the things
That should not be
Rose to honour
Among the stars
He was a Saiya-jin
Son of a third class warrior
Became so much more
Lived his life
For others
His birth name was
Kakarotto
To us he was
Goku.
One that we shall never forget.
