Chapter 2
April POV
April turned on her side to get more comfortable but instead she received a sharp pain shoot through her. What happened? Where am I? and Who is that? April thought.
She sat up to get a better look at her surroundings. The man who was sitting on the other side of the room looked up and walked over.
" Are you ok?" , he asked.
" Well, I am in a whole lot of pain and do not know why, does that answer you question?" she replied
" Maybe I should tell you why you are hurting. You see, I hit you with my car last night and you looked hurt so I got Dr. Phillips to come over here and take a look at you.
April was staring in disbelief at this man. Then all of it started to come back to her.
Her being late to see her family, the animal speedbump, her body hurdling in mid-air.
Oh No! Mom, Dad ,Clark they must be so worried! April thought
" I gotta go, They are gonna really kill me!"
April ran out of the room and out of the house. She hopped in the car, but forgot a real important thing, her keys. She stormed back in the house.
" My keys, please!" she demanded
" Don't you even want to know my name?", he said
He extended his hand and plastered a smile that looked more like a smirk on his face.
" Hello, I'm Lex Luthor"
