NOTE: If you haven't seen the Stargate episode "Window of Opportunity" you won't know what I'm talking about. Also, you can read Pane One first if you like but you don't really need to read these in any particular order.
Window Panes: Pane Two : Chapter Two
Teal'c and Jack stepped out of their quarters at the same time. They saluted each other, and turned to walk down the hallway towards the canteen. They had already been through the briefing, through the whole "loop in time" explanation and it was now time to have their fun. The next hour was going to be a riot!
They were silent as they walked, and kept their heads held high while base personnel stopped to stare, some with jaws gaping wide open, others with hands shading their eyes. The two men received some applause and whistles as well and the halls soon became crowded with spectators.
After all, you'd never expect to see a nude Teal'c walking alongside an equally naked Jack.
The crowd followed the two nudes as they entered the canteen, wondering what was going on. After witnessing Teal'c and Jack in all their glory they were still not prepared for what happened next.
Teal'c calmly approached the buffet table, still laid out with lunch, picked up a handful of mashed potatos, took aim and…
SPLATThe mashed potatos hit Jack squarely in the chest. He grinned, and picked up a bottle of mustard, squirting the yellow paste onto Teal'c shaven head. Teal'c merely cocked his head, and grabbed a bowl of jello. He upended the contents onto Jack's head, smooshing it in his hair with his hands.
The spectators in the doorway were astonished, but one by one they began to laugh, their hilarity echoing through the hallways. Some brave soldiers actually joined in the food fight and soon the room was a riot of colourful messiness.
The fight had just taken a short pause when all of a sudden the onlookers in the doorway went silent. They parted like a wave letting the wrath that was General Hammond walk through. He was closely followed by Daniel and Sam, who immediately turned her back when she saw what state Teal'c and Jack were in.
"Just what in God's name is going on here? Jack?"
Jack held his hands up, a look of total innocence on his face, jello dripping from his head, a strand of spaghetti dangling from his ear. "Well sir…it's like this…." He grinned.
The world flashed white and Jack was once again holding a spoon while Daniel prattled on.
