Vitani sighed as she walked to Pride Rock, her new home. How could so much happen in one day? She stopped and let the others go ahead, no one noticed she had fallen behind. She then looked back, how could she lose to family members in one day? How could she lose the only home she ever had in one day? If she had been paying more attention she would have seen the baboon coming up behind her. He jumped over her and landed in front of her, making her jumped back in surprise.
"Hello." Rafiki said casually. Vitani stared for a moment then pulled herself together.
"Uh, hi." Vitani said confused, very ready to rip Rafiki apart.
"I know you your Nuka sister right?" Rafiki asked with a grin.
"Ya. How did you know Nuka?" She asked. Nuka had never said anything about meeting a baboon, and she had never seen this cook before.
"How did I know him? It's how do I know him." Vitani lowered her head.
"No it's did, Nuka died." Rafiki's grin didn't fade.
"Your wrong, he's alive." Before Vitani could respond Rafiki jumped to a tree and waved before jumping to another tree. Vitani tried running after him but the old animal managed to vanish quite quickly.
Vitani couldn't believe it. Could the old Baboon be telling the truth? No impossible, Nuka was crushed under the logs. She had seen him die. And who was that weird old ape, he must have been lying. Still a part of her wanted to believe him, she sighed and ran after the Pride trying to catch up, she had to tell Kovu about this.
