Sailor Moon- Chaos Effect
Episode one: "Emerald Eyes."

Disclaimer: ...um...I dun own this.
Authors note: My first attempt at a Sailor Moon fic. This is one is to set the mood
of what is to come. R&R if it's worth a damn or whether or not it's back to the
drawing board for me. I've composed the damn thing in my head so many times, it
hurts. I hope I didn't screw up.

Rain fell in torrents all around Serena.
Frightened and cold, she dashes through the empty streets, clumsily stumbling
on the shattered pavement, falling on her face.
For some reason, she was clad in her Sailor Moon garb. Had she been in a
battle? She just couldn't remember. All she knew was she had to run. Run faster
than her legs could carry her.
At length, her strength failed her, and she fell against a brick wall.
Her lungs burned and her knee's buckled under her. She could hardly breathe as it
was.
*Run! Run!* her mind screamed.
"I can't...I ca...can't..." She shook her head.

Suddenly, Serena knew she was no longer alone... In the darkness ahead,
a pair of eyes stared back at her. Glowing, emerald eyes...like a predator stalking
it's prey in the night.
Serena tried to get away, but her legs were too weak. At the very best,
she fell against the wall. Pain shot up her spine every time she moved. When she
opened her eyes again...
The eyes were right in front of her...

"W..who are..y...you...?" she stuttered.

"I'm you."

"W...what?!" she asked, forcing each word out of her mouth.

The person reached up with a cold hand, unseen in the darkness, and
caressed her cheek. She didn't move away...she was too afraid. Dominated by that
fear. It smiled.
"...Pl...please....leave me alone..." she practically begged.
"Shh..." it whispered, gently pressing a finger against her lips.
It drew her closer, her head tilted up to keep gazing into those green glowing
eyes. It ran fingers through her hair. She could feel the tips of claws agains her
skin. What monster was this?!

Incredible pain shot through her body as Serena felt the blade enter her back.

Serena shot up in bed...fighting for breath. Her hand reached under her night-
gown immediately, feeling the bare skin of her back. A sigh escaped her lips and she
fell back onto the bed.

"I'm you."

The words echoed into the night in her mind.
