Title: Stand Straight
Author: Lee Spencer (Analogy)
Rating: PG
Summary: It' not in his nature to lead, and I know this.
Pairing: J/L
Author's Notes: Reply to the Drabble challenge on the JedandLeo list. Bit of a post-ep to We Killed Yamamoto. Kind of slashy, but only if you look at it that way. 111 words…pure drabbily goodness.
Stand Straight
It's not in his nature to lead, and I know this. That's why he's always been drawn to me, and I to him. I'm the one usually bearing the burden, as he directs me infallibly. But now I've placed the burden on his shoulders, telling him to figure something out, because that's what he does best.
He looks at me sideways, out of the corner of his eye, and I know he understands the unspoken words. That I don't trust myself enough at times to not stumble and fall with this great weight upon my back. But I trust him to stand straight, and that's more than words can ever say.
