Remember when we just met. Remember the first day when I saw your face. I saw you and shot you twice…I wasn't the best way of meeting but after that, we became friends. Remember when I saw you glancing at me, remember how you blushed… it was so cute. After getting to know you better, I knew you were the one. Your blue eyes haunted my dreams for weeks. Not only were you were beautiful outside, but you were beautiful inside too. You might always have acted unfriendly but I knew it was just a cold façade. Remember the first day when you had a nightmare and let me hug you. You were shivering and looked so much younger, you actually looked your age. I hugged you and you smiled. It was the first time I had seen you with a sincere smile on your face, do you remember? You looked beautiful, angelic and innocent.
Do you remember the first day when you told me you had feelings for me? You were looking nervous and distressed; you actually looked scared of me! The perfect soldier? Scared of me? That's a laugh! Remember what I did after that? I hugged you and told you I felt the same. Remember how all the tension and nervousness just flowed out of you? You just stayed there and let me hold you. Remember the first day when you admitted that you thought I was beautiful, how you seemed so embarrassed? You were so adorable. Remember when you first kissed me. At first it was tentative and slowly grew more aggressive. That was the day we first made love, do you remember? Remember how gentle you were being? Remember telling me that you spent the entire night surfing the net, looking for information? You came prepared; vanilla lube with strawberries and cream. You're always so thoughtful. Remember the butterflies we had? We were so scared.
Do you remember when you told me that when the war ended we would be together? Remember how you proposed to me in that garden and I said 'yes' with tears in my eyes. I don't know if you remember, but I do.
The longhaired boy finally tore his watery eyes away from the gravestone. /A million words would not bring you back, I know because I've tried. Neither would a million tears, I know because I've cried./[1]
He got up and took the golden ring from his pocket. He kissed the ring before softly dropping it on the gravestone and looked at his own ring, still on his wedding finger. /I miss you so much. There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real but you know you can't.[1] What'll I do without you?/ He sighed and read the words off of the tombstone even though he knew them by heart. "Here lies Heero Yuy. This young pilot dedicated his life to keeping peace on Earth and the colonies. When the war had finally ended, he was to be married but an unfortunate incident arrived and he died, victim of a car accident. We know that wherever he is, he is happily waiting to finally be reunited with his loved one. May God bless his soul." The longhaired boy got up and walked away not even looking back. Around him the wind whispered, comforting him.
