I've Seen an Isle
I've seen an isle, far far away
Where the sky is a pale greyish blue
Library and planetarium, ship and rocket
Here you can Link to worlds anew
I've seen an Age, rocks and sea
Wherein the sky is a constant stormy grey
Cloudless, endless, unchanging
Where a ship, forever bound, will stay
I've seen an Age, where Nature rules
Trees and water abound; cool breezes blow
The wooden treebranch homes are dwellings
And power is derived from the water flow
I've seen an Age, a mixed climate
Where the landscape varies, place to place
And human hands are remote from here
Nature's cycle a never-ending chase
I've seen an Age, human tamed
The sea pushed back by man
Mechanical devices help one live
All part of one large plan
I've seen an isle, as time has passed
I see the damages time does to it, my dream
A profound sadness fills me
Seeing the weeds, recalling the green
I've seen an isle, one I remember so fondly
One I still cry for
Dear Myst, ruined now
You have opened my mind's door
I've seen an isle, after a long while
I see what neglect has done to it
Tommorrow I move on, but for tonight
In remembrance, a candle lit
