"Why would you think it was me?" Masen asked while laughing, "Why would I make out with Jessica?"
That's true, but then, why would I think it was Edward who was making out with her?
"I blame it on the dim lighting, and..." I said embarrassingly.
"Of course," Edward laughed, "I love how you always come up with some brilliant excuses."
"And plus, I didn't know you'd be in Seattle!" I completed my sentence.
"You know Edward doesn't celebrate his birthdays. He was coming here for a business trip on Monday anyway, so I asked him to come early and join us," Masen said.
"I'm glad I came," Edward said, "I wouldn't have got such an entertainment in San Francisco. I don't know enough fools there."
I stared at him with disbelief.
Was he ever going to change, like ever?
"I'd have kicked you out if you weren't my boyfriend's brother," I said and he laughed shamelessly.
"Well, you can still kick him out. I don't mind," Masen winked.
"C'mon..." Edward laughed, "You should know by now that I enjoy fooling with you."
"And what exactly do you get by it?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Ummm... Pure joy... And satisfaction and... It's so fun, you know?" He chuckled.
"Well, I don't think it's fun!" I said.
"I know," he said, "And that makes this even more exciting and fun to me," he laughed again.
"I'm not really going to give you any reaction from this point," I said.
"I've been hearing this for... I don't even know for how long!" He said.
"Are you really going to argue and spoil fun for everyone?" Masen said with frustration, "C'mon now... Let's have some fun!"
"I never stopped anyone from having fun," Edward said, "It was your girlfriend who didn't let me have fun with... What was her name again?" He asked, "Ummm... yeah... Jessica! Where did she go again?" He roamed his eyes around.
"Sorry about that," I rolled my eyes.
"That's fine," he said, "Forget and forgive, that's my life philosophy, you know?" He smiled and I rolled my eyes.
