Edward was right - Sometimes you just needed to be lucky!

I got the job, and I decided to accept the offer. I wanted to challenge myself, and I couldn't have asked for a better offer.

It meant I needed to move to San Francisco, and I wanted to break up with Masen before that. I didn't think our relationship was headed anywhere!

Considering there were so many differences even when we were together, I couldn't even imagine how bad it'd be if we were to be in a long distance relationship.

"What do you mean you want to end this?" He asked surprisingly.

"It's not going to work," I said.

"Why do you think so?" He asked.

"Because... I don't know.. We've so many differences... Something doesn't feel right!" I said.

"Oh!" He said.

He really looked disappointed, and suddenly I felt bad. Had I broken his heart? No, right?

"Please Masen, don't take me wrong, it's... I just feel that we're not going to make this work."

"I honestly don't understand why we can't make this work," he said, "But... I'm not taking it wrong. You go ahead, and let's try to understand what went wrong," he smiled, "And you know, as they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder."

"Yeah," I smiled back.

"Who knows, the distance might make us realize that we can't really stay apart from each other," he winked.

I wasn't sure about that, but who knows, he might not be wrong.

"Yes, let's see," I said.
