Padme and Anakin

I see you smile at me and at once I know you love me

As we laugh together, the wonderment is evident in your beautiful face

I have longed to stare into your eyes for years

And now that I have that chance, I will take full advantage of it

Your face relaxes into a small smile and for a moment I notice that you have forgotten the troubles that have brought us together

All that you are thinking about is me and the beauty surrounding us

In a moment of silliness, you grab my hand and pull me up

We run through the fields smiling and laughing- you chasing me, me chasing you

Our breath comes in heavy gasps now

And we collapse together into the soft grass taking deep gulpfulls of sweet air

Hesitantly I take your hand and run my fingers over yours

My rough hands have been callosed and rough over the years

Yours are far more delicate than mine

You are not smiling anymore, instead you are gazing up at me with huge eyes- wondering and waiting for what will happen next

I pull away from you and stand up

Then take your hand again and pull you closer to me

This time your eyes are filled with something else

Could it be fear?

I take your other hand and bedn down

Only now am I aware of the height difference between us

You look straight at me and gently tilt your head to one side

We are now inches, no centimeters apart from each other

And finally our lips meet and my heart sings

Nothing in the world could be as sweet as your kiss

I pull you closer and I feel your heart beating wildly within your breast as I softly run my mouth over yours

We pull away simultaneously and you immediatly put your arms around my neck- hugging me tightly

I hug you back and smile as you lay your head on my shoulder and sigh deeply

We stay like that for minutes, just sharing a peaceful moment in our busy lives

Unwillingly breaking contact, I pull away and you take my arm and we walk silently away
