This is a disclaimer. Gilmore Girls and the whole episode is totally
product of Amy Sherman-Palladino. Keep in mind that it still isn't me and
neither is this piece of writing. Well, I wrote it but I don't get credit
for it. Lol, thanks and lata. Oh, and who ever said that I was a loser,
very much uncalled for. Don't leave bad messages. Positive reviews only,
please. Unless you want me to change something. Then leave suggestions. But
nothing derogative, plz.
As they slowly walked back to their house, Lorelei and Rory were silent. More silent than usual. They reached the house without either one saying a word, an unusual accomplishment. The silence was broken when Rory told Lorelei that she was going to sit outside, watch the stars.
"There aren't any stars out…" Lorelei gave up, realizing that Rory just wanted time by herself, for whatever reason it may be.
"I want to be here for when they come out" Rory started to say, but it was too late, Lorelei was already in the house.
Rory was silent for a long time, just staring at the darkening grass when Dean walked up, looking unusually solemn. Rory started to speak but Dean held up a hand.
"I saw you and Jesse. And!" he said sharply, before Rory could defend herself, "I also saw you push him away, and I trust you. I love you, and I trust you. So whatever it was, I don't care, because you're my girl, and I love you, and I trust you." Dean repeated the 'love and trust' part mostly for his own benefit.
"Dean, that's what I have to talk to you about." Rory started, not looking at Dean in the face.
"Yeah, I thought you would have more to say. What is it?" Dean looked ready to cry, Rory felt horrible about breaking his heart.
"I kissed Jesse. Now I now you know that, but what you don't know is the literacy of that phrase. I kissed Jesse, he didn't kiss me. I kissed him, and I also pulled away, but I initiated the kiss. And, I appreciate that you trust me, without doubt, but I think I love him. Jesse" Rory finished the little speech she had been working on and elaborated a little ever since she walked home and Dean showed up. She looked up, expecting the worst.
"I can't say I'm not hurt. Because I am. I'm really hurt, Rory. I loved you; hell I still do love you. But if you don't want to date me, then there is nothing I can do about that. I love you, Rory. I have to go now." And he was gone, gone before Rory could say that she loved him to, which was probably not what he wanted to hear.
"Honey, I have to talk to you." Lorelei had been working on her own speech while Rory had been outside.
"It better be good, because if it isn't, I don't know. If you heard that, I would think you'd know that I can't take anymore hardship!" Rory took a deep breath and let out all the tears of confusion and hurt and self- loathing that she had been keeping in.
"It can wait, honey" Lorelei held Rory close as they walked inside.
They went inside and had ice cream, and lots of it! They gobbled down many flavors, and when they were done with all the Ben & Jerry's in their fridge, they ordered Chinese food from Al's Pancake House.
