Disclaimer: Own Toby and ahhh all those other characters I've made up in the past year.
A/N - a quick sing fic that I though suited Pietro down to the ground......
"Do any of you guys ever miss your homes?" Toby asked suddenly.
"Huh?" Lance frowned, "what bought that about?"
"Well, I was just kinda missing LA that's all," Toby sighed.
"Well, I don't miss my home," Lance snorted, "what a dump. It was the biggest backwater hicks-ville on the face of the planet."
"And this isn't?" Pietro snorted, raising a perfectly arched eyebrow.
"I've always pretty much been in Bayville," Todd said.
"Well not me!" Pietro said, leaping onto the kitchen table. "I'm a New Yorker! Born and bred!" And with that he broke into song, his voice clear as it rang in the morning kitchen of the Brotherhood.
"Well I shuffled through the city on the 4th of July,
I had a firecracker waiting to blow
Breakin' like a rocket who was makin' its way
To the city of Mexico
Lived in an apartment out on Avenue A
Had a tar-hut on the corner of tenth
Had myself a lover who was finer than gold
But I've been broken up and busted up since......
But love don't play any games with me
Anymore like she did before
The world won't wait, so I better shake
That thing right out there through the door
Hell, I still love you New York!
Found my self a picture and it fits in the folds
Of my wallet and it's stayed pretty good
Still amazed I didn't loose iton the roof of the place
When I was drunk and I was thinking of you
Everyday the children they were singing their tune
Out on the streets and you could hear from the inside
Used to take the subway up to Huston and 3rd
I would wait for you and I'd try to hide...
But love won't play those games with me
Anymore like she did before
The world won't wait, so I better shake
But honey, I don't blame you
Hell, I still love you New York
Hell, I still love you New York
New York.....
I remember Christmas in the blistering cold
In a church on the upper west side
Babe, I stood there singing, I was holding your arm
You were holding my trust like a child
Found a lot of trouble out on Avenue B
But I tried to keep the overhead low
Farewell to the city and the love of my life
At least we left before we had to go...
And love won't play those games with you
Anymore if you want 'em to
So we better shake this old thing out the door
I'll always be thinking of you...
I'll always love you though New York!
I'll always love you though New York!
New York, New York....."
Pietro stopped and leapt back down to the kitchen floor. He gave a grin and sitting back down took a bite of his toast.
"You had a girl back in New York?" Toby finally broke the silence.
"I had more than one," Pietro grinned, "but the song doesn't go like that so you know......." He paused and said, "if I was to sing a song about my love life it would go, Girls I love you....I love all of ya'll.....f'real. I love girls, girls, girls. Girls I do adore. So put ya number on this paper cause I would love to date ya. Holla at ya when I come off tour, yeah.....I got this Spanish chica she don't like me to roa - "
"NOOOOOOO!" Lance moaned, "not this again!"
"SHUT UP!" Toby yelled, his hands pressed firmly over his ears.
"The pain, the pain," Todd and Freddy moaned, pretending to writhe in agony.
"Hmmmf," Pietro sniffed, "I can see my artistic talents aren't appreciated here. Very well. I'll sing it until they are, I'm like 'uno momento' - mami slow up your tempo. I got this black chick, she don't know how to act. Always talkin' out her neck, makin' her fingers snap. She like, 'listen Jigga man I don't care if yo - "
"This is going to be a very long day..." Toby groaned.
