The Legend Riders
By: Skat/Cooler

It isn't that often that I say that I'm truly part of a bigger legend. I knew I was a legend myself when I was… oh, about 10.

My Mom and Dad would always cater me, and I would go on, being the Pokemon loving kid I always was.

I had wondered why my parents were treating me like Sashal, the "Pokemon Legend".

He wasn't really the Pokemon Legend, I was.

I didn't even know it.

After I figured all that out, I asked my parents what I was supposed to do with my life, the living legend life.

They said to "burn it" or "make something out of it". I chose number two.

You see, I read up on the legend of "Sashal the Legend". Somewhere around… oh, maybe chapter 190, did it actually mention that Sashal wasn't the REAL legend, but was supposed to make a big distraction for the REAL legend, Gold Legenda. That's me, all right. Gold. Cool name…

That book was the ONLY copy in the world that mentioned anything about me. I burned it up when I was done, careful to rip out pages I needed. Like what the Legend was all about. Then I just went on the internet. There was only one thing on a "Gold Legenda", and that just happened to be my web site for school. Stupid, stupid, stupid me. I actually thought someone copied my page until I saw the school logo on the bottom.

You see, the school wasn't an ordinary school. It was only for a day, but you spent 24 hours there. You learned how to be a Pokemon Trainer and on the other hand, how to use computers and cell phones and all the technology stuff. I already knew my math and everything, and I didn't bother to enter those classes. I spent most of the time hanging around my teacher, Professor Oak's, office. He didn't mind much. He just really didn't like me handling the GS ball.

Actually, he said he was through with the ball and that it had nothing new about it. He said that they preformed tests on the ball and there was nothing out of the ordinary that shouldn't be in a regular ball. Then he told me I could have it because it was pretty much a worthless old piece of junk. So I took it home with me and went to bed with it, too…

So… maybe the best idea was to put it on a shelf… I woke up in the middle of the night, just to see that the ball I was sleeping with was now opened. Something above me was making the strangest noise. Sort of like a Pokemon and how it speaks. It sounded like something was saying… Mew!

I took a quick guess and looked up. My guess was right. It was a Mew. The ONLY Mew in the world. And I had it…

I rubbed my eyes, unsure of what I was supposed to think. I looked at it again. Then it started floating towards me.

I put up my arm to stop it, but it teleported so it was right next to me. I seriously thought that it was going to attack me.

But, no, it only snuggled up to me and hugged me.

I hugged it back, realizing it was trying to be my friend or something.

And it was.

It was also the start of a VERY beautiful friendship.
