Heh. I wrote this while supposedly working on Spanish. It really stinks, I know. But still… I feel like writing more comedy all of a sudden!

What "They" Were Thinking

Oh! Life can be so unfair at times!

Like with me. And my friends. We got lost near some little ranch in Termina, and all we wanted was to ask directions back home to Ikana Canyon… But that girl in the white dress and the boy dressed in green messed us up pretty bad…

It started about a two weeks ago. The King of Ikana was revived, though, of course, he was a skeleton, and wanted us to patrol around the castle to make sure no uninvited invaders found their way in. Well, since we're ghosts, we couldn't be seen in the sunlight. Sunlight would kill us right away. Yeah, we're ghosts, meaning that we're ALREADY dead, but you can be deader than dead or… something like that, I guess. Anyway, one night nine of my friends and I were wandering around, and we soon got lost from Ikana Canyon. I don't know how it happened, but me managed to go beyond Termina Field, to Milk Road. There was a boulder blocking the road, and we went right through it, trying to find someone who could tell us how to get back to Ikana Canyon.

It was about two in the morning. I saw two buildings up ahead. One looked like a house, and it was locked. The other was bigger, smelled weird, and was unlocked. I went into the unlocked one, telling my comrades to stay behind me. Inside the building, were these weird, fat, white creatures who incessantly made "moo"-ing type noises when they saw me. I asked them how to get back to the canyon, but all they would do was moo!

Finally a little girl in a white dress stormed into the building to see what the mooing was about. She screamed when she saw me and chased me away, telling me to leave the cows alone. Cows? Were those white creatures cows? I guess so. I would have to ask the "cows" how to get back to the canyon later.

So I tried again the next night, around two. This time, I told my comrades to help out. We approached the building slowly. But once again, the girl chased us away! This continued until the girl started shooting arrows at us from a bow. At first her aim was terrible, but later on she got better and we had to be more careful.

We were about to our wit's end when that boy showed up…

He was really weird looking. His hair was kind of long, and he was dressed in a green tunic and was wearing a green hat. He looked like some kind of forest elf! But he was even better with the bow than the girl. He kept ALL of us away from the barn, until morning came! MORNING!!! SUNLIGHT!!! ARGH!!!

All we wanted was to have those cows tell us how to get back to Ikana Canyon! We would have even taken them along with us where they would have been given special privileges as guests to the kingdom. Maybe we could have taken the girl, too, and shown her that we ghosts really aren't so bad! We would have returned her, of course. I think she has a sister, and I know her sister would be very worried about her if she was gone for too long.

Instead of bring others back with us, my friends and I, who did finally find our way back to the canyon, will probably be spending the rest of ETERNITY in therapy! Oh, the pain! The horror!

I don't ever want to see another arrow again!!
