Werewolf

The moon shines
brightly, full.
I feel its
tempting pull.

My eyes are
open wide.
I feel the
beast inside.

A shattering,
a cry.
A sudden wish
to die.

Too late to
run away.
I clench my hands
and pray.

As darker
shadows fall.
And no one hears
my call.
