DQ8
I was going to visit my sick friend, DQ8. He's in the neopian hospital. Why you may ask? For being brave. Defending what he believes in. You see DQ8 defended Tyrania from Dr. Sloth's evil followers. So now he's suffering from Ugga Ugga, and his parents are to poor to buy the cure for it. I'm not meant to see DQ8, because he's a shoyru and I am a blumaroo. Well I'm not meant to see DQ8.
We met in the strangest of ways, In grundo's gym. I think it was 4 years ago now, I was running on the treadmill when I glanced over my shoulder and saw a blue shoyru struggling under the heavy weights. Standing next to him was a green shoyru yelling at him, telling him that he's a weakling, that he'll never amount to anything. I felt really sorry for this poor shoyru. Later on in the change rooms, I heard him crying. I asked him what was wrong and he told me his story
He told me that his name is DQ8, and that he is the youngest of the infamous shoyru brothers. All of his brothers are battledome champions, but he's not interested in all that bravery stuff, he said he's more of the intelligent kind. Well at least he was when I first met him. But soon after I met him I was banned from seeing him. A lot can change in a short amount of time. I guess the pressure started to get to DQ8, He just caved in. He wanted to be like his brothers. Brave. He wanted to become something he wasn't.
I stayed by he's bed for what seems like forever, thinking about the good times. Hoping that he'll get the cure he needs before it's too late. I headed to the Donation Tree and try to get some np's to buy the cure, but after an hour at the Donation Tree with only 1np for my efforts, I knew I was wasting my time.
I headed back to the hospital but when I got there the nurse told me that DQ8's condition had become critical and that he were now in surgery. Well he never came out of surgery . . . alive.
As I leave these flowers on his grave I will think about the good times that existed a while back, two years ago now in fact. I miss him a lot. I wish I could say the same for his family but they're really busy with DQ8's new little sister, a green shoyru. I just hope she doesn't end up like he did.
