Alec
Adenine, cytosine, guanine, thymine. Basic building blocks of chemicals. Pieced together in a specific sequence becomes DNA. A long strand, twisting around on itself, coiled. When read properly, becomes the instructions for a Man.
Orders, drills, training. Specific instructions clipped out to be followed immediately, and without fail. Precise movements, sharp and quick. Merged together make a Soldier.
A vibration at a particular frequency making a sound, a note. Notes, in intervals of thirds, form chords. The chords, and more notes, laid out in a definite pattern, with a definite time, becomes a melody. Becomes Music.
The Man. The Soldier. The Music.
Precision. Order.
Why, when combined, does chaos ensue?
And from the chaos the Man, the Soldier, and the Music combine in new, unexpected ways. Precision is shattered and order is lost. Born anew is a mind, a soul, and a heart.
They swirl together, clashing, merging, rearranging themselves in ways that may have never been intended.
The mind learns individuality, the soul learns friendship, and the heart learns love.
And they all discover pain.
Chaos from order. Order from chaos.
