Author's Note:
Well, here's my first wandering into Discworld fics...well...poetry anyway. A poem for the City Watch...I dunno why, probably because most of my favorite characters are Watch members. =^_^=
Anyway, the point of this note is...I completely fail to own the Discworld series...I'm nowhere near that cool.
For the City Watch
LH-chan '02
They've come a long way
from chasing criminals, not to catch.
The unlikely heroes of
the Ankh-Morpork City Watch.
Their Commander, a common man
who'd rather walk the beat.
The officers, the strangest group
criminals don't want to meet.
A Captain who's a dwarf,
even though he's two meters tall.
And trolls who must be reminded
to use the door, not the wall.
Shorter dwarfs, who'll likely
go for the knees, not the head.
A werewolf, and a collection
of the undead.
Together, they make the streets
...well...a little safer to walk.
They may not always kick arse,
but at least they'll prod buttock.
