Author's Note; Death story!

Revenge,
written by Whipper

Her face is terribly white and cold. A sculpture made in ice. It's hard to believe but she's almost as beautiful laying here dead as when she was alive. My dear Vilandra... no, that's not her name anymore. She is Isabel now. Or was. As I look at her I feel the urge to touch her red lips. I want to give her the kiss of life. I want her back so badly. But even I can not bring back the dead.

Her brother is not far from her. In his cold, stiff arms he holds is a young woman. A human, almost as beautiful as my Isabel. The two of them are as dead as my beautiful love. I guess the human must have died instantly. If she hadn't, he would have tried to save her. The man who was once a King but now hardly is more than a boy has been crying. His cheeks are still damp with tears. It is obvious that he, their strong leader, have mourned his human lover's death.

"Here's another one."

Another human. A male, this time. Just as the woman he has died instantly. Human creatures are so easy to destroy. His right hand is stretched out towards my Isabel. Maybe he cared for her. Maybe he even loved her. I smile a little at that.

"Where are the others?"

My men do not answer me.

"Where are they? The warrior and his woman?"

"We haven't been able to find them yet, Sir."

I know there's no way they could have survived. Yet I feel strangely cold. Almost afraid.

"Find them," I say.

I stay in the main cave with my lifeguards for a long time, waiting for them to find the remains of my enemies. After a while they call out for us to come. They have found the body of the third human and for some reason they sound surprised.

When I arrive to the place where they've found her I understand why. Just as the others she is dead. But someone has covered her body with a blanket and her face is clean from dirt and blood. Someone has tried to give this girl a funeral. A ceremony of grief and love.

And I know who.

"We need to get out of here," I growl.

Me and my men start to run for the exit. But it's too late. One of them has survived. I run faster. Then suddenly, I stop. He's standing right in front of me. On his home planet he was the King's right hand, the best warrior of them all. The Sword. We all feared him then and we had good reason to. Even now, in his damaged human body he scares us. There's a fire in his eyes that will not be put out.

My men know that. So do I.

"You killed Maria." His voice is harsh. "You killed Max and Isabel. Liz and Alex."

He comes closer.

"There's nothing left now. Nothing."

I realize that he's right. This is the end.
