Title: Night Confessions

Disclaimer: Don't own Moulin Rouge story but I own this story.

"I never knew there was life with love." She whispered to the gentle sleeping face. "Now, I can't imagine life without you. Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for making me love you." She kissed the tip of his nose and moved closer to the warm body sleeping next to her.

"I always knew you would come to me." He murmured softly, careful to keep his voice low enough to keep his sleeping beauty. "You haunt my dreams, you make them reality. You're the love of my life. Thank you for loving me and letting me love you." He slid his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. Kissing her eyelids he said, "Sleep well my queen."

The sparkling diamond never returned to her room that night, she was sparkling somewhere else. She had left her clothes sprawled out around the room but Marie didn't mind, she could see love written all over the red- head's face. It wasn't for the maharaja. It was for the penniless satair player, one who everyone thought had nothing. Wasn't that funny, he had nothing but Satine, the diamond. He was rich.

"Sleep tight Satine." She whispered into the night. "Sleep in the arms of your lover for one more night. Feel safe in them for one more night. Be in love for just one more love."

"It can't happen! The star can't fall in love!" He yelled to no one. But it had. Her room was empty. He had ruined everything, that writer. Falling in love always ruins EVERYTHING.

"Another star has fallen. Another diamond has shined in the light for one last time. Another piece of the Moulin Rouge has fallen apart."

She said she loved him. He loved her back. He had given her everything, diamonds, jewels even gold. He would give her anything she asked for. Yet why wasn't she here besides him? "Tomorrow, my love." He sneered. "Tomorrow, you're mine."

The man watched the sleeping lovers from the outside. They were everything to each other.

Beauty- She had much of that.

Truth- One only needed to look into their eyes to see the truth.

Freedom- They were free because they were together.

Love- They were in love.

"The greatest thing, you'll ever learn, is just to love, and be loved in return."

"I love you." She said to a sleeping face and closed eyes.

"Come what may." He murmured, tracing his finger down her arm.

"Be in love for one more night." She whispered to the diamond.

"Another star has fallen!" He complained into the night.

"Tomorrow, you'll be mine." He sneered to his love.

"The greatest thing you'll ever know, is just to love and be loved in return." He whispered to the world.
