Bastian opened the package and looked at the book. It just seemed so familiar to him, like a precious possession. But the book was more then that, he knew that. He opened that cover and quickly flipped threw the pages, there on every page were the tales of Fantasia, of himself. He actually felt a little joy, something he had felt since the accident. At least he did until he reached the part he wasn't expecting, it said everything about the accident, everything he was thinking, everything he was going to do. Bastian threw the book across the room, it hit the hard wood floor with a thud. He walked back to the Bathroom, he was going to do it, no book would stop him. They Neverending Story was a lie, Fantasia would be better off without him, they could find another human, a stronger human. He closed his eyes and picked up the knife, fear grabbed him as he brought it down to his wrist. If he had looked back to the book he would have seen when it landed that a picture of Moonchild, the Childlike Empress was now there staring in horror at Bastian.

'Bastian don't!' The unmistakable voice of the Empress said, the voice was in heard in Bastian's head.

"I'm sorry Princess, but I can't take it anymore." Bastian said.

'I will stop you if I have to.' Her voice said.

"It's my life, it's my choice. Leave me alone!" Bastian shouted.

'I'm sorry, but I won't let you die.'

And before Bastian could react, the very world he was in changed. The knife in his hand disappered and the room changed to on of Ivory. Infront of him stood the Empress and Atreyu.

"Welcome back Bastian."
