Disclaimer: Faye isn't mine. Everyone else is. Inspired, like most of my religion-related fics, in church. Good sermon today. Some things stolen from it. Gomen if Faye is OOC. My first CB fic.
Author's Note: Giah, can't believe I'm posting this. Faye is sooo strange... *hands head*

Father David Greenfield felt flushed with victory as he shook hands with the departing parishioners. His first mass had been a success! His homily on Jesus' What you have received freely, give freely had hit it off with the crowd.

Nice speech, Father, a voice said wryly. Father David turned from the young parent he had been speaking with to thank the speaker, and immediately blushed. It was a young woman, a beautiful young woman, with more skin than clothes. He immediately averted his eyes, blushing furiously.

T-thank you, he stammered.

Really smooth, David! he thought furiously.

I-is this your first time here? he asked, looking up to meet her eyes and studiously avoiding anything south of her face. The girl grinned.

Nah, she said. I get down here whenever I'm planet side.

Father David couldn't hide his astonishment.

Do you...always dress like that for church? he asked.

The girl's eyes narrowed.

Yeah, she said slowly. Got a problem with that?

It just seems...a little revealing for the house of God.

She grinned sarcastically.

What, you think Christ doesn't enjoy the view? she asked. Father David sputtered angrily, unable to answer. As you said in your homily today, Father-If you've got it, use it.

But that's not appropriate in the house of God! Disrespectful to the Lord!

The girl's eyes became cold, and Father David instinctively shivered.

Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you', she said frostily. Matthew seven, verses one and two.

Father David was rooted to the spot as she walked away.

Better stop reading your Bible and start living it, Father.
