The Fifth Race - Sam's Feelings
He stares at his page scribbling frantically, The occasional glance or frustrated sigh in my direction is my only contact with my Jack. He looks like the same Jack O'Neill, but the sarcastic demeanor, witty repertoire and the smile that makes my heart skip a beat and my knees turn to jello are gone. It is as if he has fallen asleep on a bus and woken up twenty years later surrounded by strangers. General Hammond, Daniel, Janet Teal'c and me, all wanting answers. He keeps looking up at me, his soft brown eyes swimming with confusion, my heartaches watching his usually bright eyes darken and harden with anger and frustration. Who are these people? He seems to be wondering. How long will I have to travel beside them? I glance up to find Daniel looking at me, as my eyes brim with tears. When will my jack return?
Jacks Feelings
I have no idea what I am doing or even why I am doing it, I watch as a picture unfolds on the page in front of me. A million thoughts, words, fragments of memories race around my aching head. I glance up at Sam her sapphire blue eyes shimmer with tears; I want to tell her that I am fine, that everything will be fine, that I love her. But every time I open my mouth to comfort her with words, an unfamiliar language spill from my mouth, and it hurts her even more, I can see it in her eyes. The realization of the pain I am inflicting on my Sam breaks my heart. I continue to scribble hoping for a happy ending.
Daniel's Feelings
I know Jack has the knowledge of these aliens in his brain. I have to figure out this language or Jack could stay this way forever, or worse. I have to figure this out, not just for me but for Sam. I know how she feels about Jack, I think its obvious to everyone else except Jack. Sam and Jack are two of my best friends, seeing them like this breaks my heart. If I could just figure out this language it would help.
