'Dream'

*This is a story about a girl named Lucky... Early morning, she wakes up Knock, knock, knock on the door It's time for makeup, perfect smile*

Lana was the vision of perfection. She had a slim figure, long silky hair, and was dating the Quarterback. Guys wanted to date her, and girls wanted to be her.

*It's you they're all waiting for They go... "Isn't she lovely, this Hollywood girl?" And they say... She's so lucky, she's a star But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking If there's nothing missing in my life Then why do these tears come at night?*

Everyone saw a beautiful fairy princess with a 'dream life.' Lana had the 'dream job.' She was co-manager of the Talon with Smallville's most prominent figure, Lex Luthor. She also had a job on the school newspaper, and was one of the most popular girls at Smallville High.

*Lost in an image, in a dream But there's no one there to wake her up And the world is spinning, and she keeps on winning But tell me what happens when it stops? They go... "Isn't she lovely, this Hollywood girl?" And they say...*

No one could see the real Lana. The one that only came out when she was alone in her bedroom. The real Lana was nothing that people thought she was. The real Lana would make people turn their heads in embarrassment.

*She's so lucky, she's a star But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking If there's nothing missing in my life Then why do these tears come at night? "Best actress, and the winner is... Lucky!" "I'm Roger Johnson for Pop News standing outside the arena waiting for Lucky!" "Oh, my God...here she comes!"*

Inside Lana was a scared little girl still waiting for her parents to come home. Lana felt so alone. The feeling only deepened when she lost the one constant thing in her world.Whitney. When he left to join the Marines her security blanket went with him. Lana felt left empty. As if her heart had been hollowed out.

*Isn't she lucky, this Hollywood girl? She is so lucky, but why does she cry? If there is nothing missing in her life Why do tears come at night?*

Lana cried herself to sleep almost every night. She would waken in a cold sweat, her mind racing from her nightmares. Nightmares of being the last one in Smallville. Her family and friends leaving her behind, by herself. She would cry into her pillow. Cry for the 'lost' friends. Hoping with all her heart that someone would hear her and save her from her misery.

*She's so lucky, she's a star But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking If there's nothing missing in my life Then why do these tears come at night?*

When Lana's alarm rang she would brush her silky hair, and apply make- up to her flawless face. Every morning Lana plastered on a sugary sweet smile. She would greet her friends in the hallway, all the while counting down the hours until she could go home and cry.
