Alone
Chiba Mamoru looked down at the picture in his hand. It was an incredibly well kept photo considering the times that he had handled
it. But Mamoru had always been careful with the picture. It was the only one that he had of his parents.
Eleven years had passed since his parents had died in a car crash, and Mamoru had survived with amnesia. In fact, it was eleven years ago today, August 3rd, since they died. It was Mamoru's birthday, and his least favorite day of the year: for though he could not
remember how it happened, Mamoru always felt that it was his fault that his parents had died.
Mamoru walked to the graveyard where his parents forever laid. The Two gravestones stood tall and beautiful. A rose bush grew next to the shared slate to mark where the Chibas would rest for all eternity. Mamoru pulled two red roses from his pocket and laid them upon his parents' grave. He knelt down and traced the etched words on the graves.
'CHIBA TENCHI AND CHIBA AIKO
May they rest in peace
for all of eternity.'
A single tear dropped upon the Chibas' grave. Mamoru swiped a hand at his eyes to stop any more tears to follow. He got up from where he knelt and headed back to his lonely apartment.
Clear blue eyes followed the young man as he walked away from the grave. His head held high and erect, his face almost unreadable,
but his eyes, his stormy blue eyes, betrayed the whirl of emotions he had hidden beneath the surface.
A petite blonde picked up the frisbee she had thrown into the graveyard, but she continued walking to where Mamoru had been.
Tsukino Usagi, archenemy of Chiba Mamoru, held back a sob as she witnessed Mamoru, the strong, proud man who never let anything phase him, unknowingly reveal his pain to her.
"No wonder you're so cold to me." She whispered to herself. "You can't hide from me any longer Chiba Mamoru. You've hidden behind walls long enough. I'm going to melt your heart of ice, and you're going to start living again!"
Just a little thing that I wrote up. Hope you liked it. - Jelp
