Title: Penguins pelt

Author: Semmel

Genre: Poetry

Rating: PG-13 (for suicidal thoughts and one swear word)

Summary: The tragic correspondence between Severus Snape, Sirius Black and Lily Evans or the true story behind the Whomping Willow Incident.

A/N: You've all heard about stories about Snape being in love with Lily. Well, here's a new twist in it. I also tried to explain the 'Whomping Willow Incident' while at it. The whole things in rhyme form. The first letters of the verses always spell out whom it's addressed to. Please don't get confused, but Sirius is Severus cousin here.

Love resides inside my soul

Ignited me when I say you.

Lil', I need you desperately

Yearn for you to set me free.

Emerald eyes and hair so gules,

Virtuosus nature, hell breaks lose.

And my mind snaps for I do know

Never on me love you'll bestow.

Sincerely, Severus

Seen thy poem, read thy words,

Enjoyed them though it really hurts.

Villain, why dost thou torture me?

Entrap me in such misery?

Rogue, toy not with this heart of mine

Urge thee, don't write no further line!

Sincerely, Lily

Love you do, believe me please!

I don't lie, do not deceive!

Lift this weight, lessen my pain,

You only can prevent my bane!

Enthralled by you! although I am

Vicious and a cruel, mean man

And nobody ever escapes my scorn,

No one but you, this I have sworn!

Sincerely, Severus

Stop this now, can't take it

No more! Thou lie'st, misfit!

Abandon thy cruel game

Persist not in thy aim!

End it! Lily

Let us meet and I will show

I do mean truth, so morrow

Learn you will this!

Yours forever, Severus

Sun freeze, darkness shine

North-pole melt

And fish rhyme,

Penguins pelt

Ere I come, Lily

Sirius, cousin, I need your help

Insist I must upon your aide.

Right is wrong and wrong is right,

I'm desperate, want to end my life.

Unable though! I don't know how,

Send me advice, show me how!

Sane you're not! So much I see.

End your life? I'd disagree!

Verify this urgent need,

Explain so I understand

Reasoning behind the deed.

Unwary I'm of them, my friend.

Sirius

Bane and ruin of my mind

Love's brought me to this end.

A girl, sweeter you can't find

Crushed my heart with her hand.

Kindly, Severus

So you've decided, so it will be

Now go to the Whomping Willow tree.

Advance the spot,

Press the knot,

Enter and wait!

Bastard! You have told your friends

Lupin and Potter knew of my plans

And as James succeeded in "saving" me

Consider yourself now my enemy!

Kiss my @$$!

And thus it ends. I consider writing this in prose sometime, but right now I'm pretty caught up with my other works-in-progress. Please, tell me what you think! You liked this? I've written another poem called You make me standing tall. Check it out!
