{A/N: Bleh my first Pocket Monsters fanfic @.@; Well if you notice, I use
Satoshi's name but I stick with the American names for Misty and Brock.
Why? I forgot Brock's Japanese name. O_o And when I use the name Misty it
looks like I didn't use either Japanese name for a reason. XD Well, this is
basically the prologue. Well enjoy fer now!} br
Narrator POVbr
As the fire crackled and hissed, Satoshi slowly poured two eggs into the
frying pan above the fire. It was quiet. Too quiet. There was no Brock,
humming cheerfully while whipping up omelets. There was no Misty cuddling
Togepi and nagging Satoshi about his training, or lack thereof. Satoshi
sighed and gently rubbed Pikachu's soft head. br
"It's just you and me now, huh?" he stated.br
"Piii-KA!" Pikachu replied, snuggling up to her forlorn master. br
Satoshi POVbr
All I want is someone to be with. I remember how I had believed that fate had caused me to take Misty's bike. It gave me the chance to meet her. Even when she was trying to seem angry, she was still so cute. She isn't like other girls; she wears her feelings on her sleeves. There was nothing halfway about her. When she's happy, she's happy. When she's sad, she's sad. When she's mad, hell- when ISN'T she mad?! I smiled as a deluge of "Misty" memories emerged from crevices of my mind. There was that time that Togepi had clung to her, believing Misty to be her own motherly figure. I had to grin as I remembered Misty in the contest for the dolls on Girls' Day. She was so determined and yet she managed to appear feminine for once. There were all the times when Misty had teased Brock about his countless heartthrobs. At that thought, I paused. It figures that the two would end up leaving me for each other after. I glared up at the morning sky. br Damn them! Who needs enemies when I have friends like you?! Dejectedly, I cried, "...Is there something wrong with me? A reason why no one wants to be with me?" br

From the corner of Satoshi's tent, two golden eyes peered at him pensively.p {A/N: Yes, very short. Please reviewish! ^.^}
