LIZZIE

BOOM! Thunder shook the trees and caused me to shake. I grabbed a hold of bench Gordo, Miranda, and I were sitting on.

~ Oh what are we doing here! Oh yeah I remember!

***************************Flashback*******************************

"Come on Gordo, Miranda and I are just going for a quick walk. We'll be back before the storm even hits us." I begged.

"I dunno." He answered uncertainly.

"Please! Gordo please!" I gave him my best puppy dog look.

He sighed. "Fine."

"Great let's go."

We had been walking for a short while when the sky darkened and we heard a distance rumble.

"Run for Lizzie's house it's nearest." Gordo said running with his arms over his head.

Miranda and I followed as quickly as possible but the storm caught up with us too quickly.

*********************************************************************

BOOM! The thunder sound again louder this time and I screamed.

"Lizzie, are you ok!" I could barley hear Miranda even though she was right next to me.

When the lighting lit up the sky I saw Gordo holding out his hand and looking at me. I laughed inwardly. I understood his intentions exactly. It all happened the day I got lost at the mall with Gordo. We were 6 and Matt was 4.

**************************Flashback**********************************

"Ok Lizzie, Gordo, Matt follow me." Jo McGuire said walking into a store.

I opened my mouth in surprise.

"Wow mommy it's so big!" I said.

"Yes well stay with me." Jo walked on towards shoes.

Suddenly I spotted this gorgeous necklace.

"Oh! Gordo look at this." I said.

We walked nearer to the case and father from my mom. I stood there looking at it with wide eyes.

"I promise someday I'll buy it for you Lizzie!" Gordo said.

"OK!" I said happily.

We both stood there looking at it until a lady walked there and took it form the case and sold it.

"Oh sorry Lizzie I guess I can't buy it for you." Gordo said sadly.

"Oh well I'll be ok." I replied.

I turned around and stopped.

"Gordo where's my mommy?" I started to panic.

"What if she left us here Gordo." I could feel the tears slipping down my cheeks.

"Here hold my hand it'll make you feel better." Gordo held out his hand and I took it.

I sniffled a few times and suddenly.

"Lizzie! Gordo! Follow me mommy's this way." Matt said walking back to my mom.

"Wow! Gordo you were right. Maybe your hands are magic!" I said.

"Yeah!" I looked at him he looked me and we smiled.

"Mommy! Mommy!" I yelled running to her.

"Lizzie, Gordo! Where have you been? Oh thank goodness you're alright." My mom ran to hug us.

"Where have you been?" She repeated.

"Well I stopped to look at the necklace and Gordo came with me. And then we couldn't find you. But then Gordo's magic hands made Matt come find us and then he showed us were you were."

"Gordo's magic hands?" Jo asked

"Yeah!"

******************************************************************

I took his hand and heard Miranda say,

"Look!"

She pointed at the sky were a rainbow had appeared.

~No more thunder, no more rain, no more lighting, no more pain.~

I looked at Gordo and he looked at me and we smiled. We walked home, Gordo and I hand in hand. As we walked through the front door my mother rushed to us.

"Lizzie! Miranda! Gordo! Thank goodness! How did you mange to get through that storm?"

I looked at Gordo and smiled again.

"With the help of Gordo's magic hands."
