okay this is my first Moulin Rouge submission. PLEASE DONT FLAME!! they
hurt my feelings....this one's about Nini. I hated her till the 7th time I
watched the movie. I started to feel sorry for her and put myself in her
position. And this is what came out of it.
THE RED WINDMILL
Chapter 1: Nini Legs-In-The-Air
Paris; 1899 after Satine's Death
My life at the Moulin Rouge was never easy. Everything was going fine untill Miss Perfect Satine came along and stole my position as the next Sparkling Diamond.
I hate Satine. I still do.
I always hear Satine this, the Sparkling Diamond that!! "Satine is going to be a great actress one day."
Oh yes Satine. Great actress Satine. Sparkling Diamond Satine. Beautiful Satine.
I could've been the Sparkling Diamond. I really could've. I'm certainly talented enough.
But no. I was forever to be one of the Diamond Dogs. Always to be one of the 4 Whores. Never front and center. Always in the shadows.
And now it's too late. Since Satine died, the Moulin Rouge has gone out of bussiness.
I bet it never would've happened if I had been the star of the show. Iwouldn't have fallen in love with the write. I wouldn't have gotten consumption. I wouldn't have put the Bohemians at risk of losing their ending. I wouldn't have made the Duke lose his mind. I would have done the job right. If Satine had, the Moulin Rouge might still be in business.
I'm honestly suprised I never went mad in that place. If it were'nt for Chinadoll, Arabia and Mome I don't think I would've lasted as long as I did. They always encouraged me, and cheered me up when I was upset. They didn't talk behind my back like the other girls did. They never called me a bitch. They were my only friends. They always told me, "One day you'll be the Sparkling Diamond, Nini."
Everyone knew it. Even Satine knew it. Everyone knew I was the true Sparkling Diamond, though only Mome, Arabia and Chinadoll ever admitted it.
The only person who couldn't see it was Zidler. All that tub of lard ever cared about was his "little sparrow" Satine. Her and his sick obsession with electricity. If he hadn't overspent on lighting for the Moulin Rouge, he never would've gone bankrupt, and we never would've had to get into the whole mess that led to Satine's death and the Moulin Rouge going out of bussiness.
To be quite honest, I'm glad she's dead. She deserved what she got. I still hate her to this day. She always took what should've been mine. Always. I hope she's suffering wherever she is. Probably rotting away in hell. So depressed without Christian.
Now I'm forced to live on the streets, getting by with the small amounts of money I can get from prostitution. I don't know what happened to the rest of the dogs, Mome, Arabia and Chinadoll, but I hope they don't have to get by like me. I hope one day I can find true love like Satine had and get away from this life of misery. One day...
well?? good, bad, what?! as I said. first submission. flames will make me cry. I'm gonna put up little things from Christian, Satine and some others during various points in the movie...*sob* hehe ta ta!
