Students

Welcome to my class

Today lesson is going to be about teamwork. As you have already known, Hunters- in-training of Beacon Academy are formed by 2 pairs of partner to make a team of 4. This is a standard for Hunters in all 4 kingdoms. But if you take a closer look, they actually work on very different ways

First, I will tell you about Vacuo and its Shade Academy

The Hunter Teams in Vacuo , the term team is used very loosely, to be more precise, it is a group of 4 Hunters working toward a united goal. Since Vacuo is a harsh place, you have heard that it is a place where anyone who can survive are welcomed, it is a nice way to say they follow the philosophy of survival of the fittest. Their Hunters also are firm believers of that way of thinking as well, so they focus a lots on Individual Prowress. Vacuo produced the most powerful Hunters out of the 4 Kingdoms but they really are terrible working in group. Their only thought of teamwork usually is "Don't get in each other way" .

Next, lets learn something about Haven Academy in Mistral

Mistralian Hunters, they focus on the Pair, the harmony of 2 partners, fighting side by side, back to back. It is a relationship stronger than even family or marriage. It is said that you will never find another Hunter more loyal to their partner outside of Mistral. The Team of 4 is actually 2 pairs working together. It may sound similar to us, but the focus on their partners is too strong, it comes to the point that a Hunter will value his partner above the other 2 teammates. In most of the case, when a Mistralian Hunter die, their partner also wouldn't survive the battle, due to shock, grief and fury, they will continue to fight and die in battle to avenge the dead partner. Those who survive will never take on a partner again, not even working well with the other pair. Without a partner to protect and watch their back, their fighting style also become more reckless, like they have a death wish, which is probably true.

Now, we have Atlas and Atlas Academy

As you have already known, the Hunters of Atlas, while not a part of its military, are heavily encouraged to join, via propaganda, benefit and patriotism. Since Atlas Academy is considered a part of the military, the Hunters-in-training education is a reflection of that as well. They operate in Squads 4 for students and 3 to 8 for Lisenced Hunters, depend on order or the situation. In a Squad, each member is given a Role based on their skills and fighting style, or they pick a Role and build their skills and fighting style around that Role. This way, when a team lose a member, all they have to do is required another replacement and a few days for new members to adapt. This create the impression that Atlas Hunters are heartless and cold blood. I must tell you now that is mostly not true, they are just more efficient, mourning for the dead will take place in peaceful private time.

Alright, the final official Hunter Academy, our Beacon Academy of Vale

Hunter Student Team in Beacon consisted of 4 students, who forms 2 pairs to create a team led by a leader. Our philosophy is a combination of 3 previous Academies teaching. We focus on increasing each student skills, the partners of each pair must care for their own partner, but also must remember that they also have 2 other teammates as well. The leaders lead the teams, but the others on the other hand push them forward. That's the meaning of the teamwork in Beacon

Last but not least, Menagerie has its own Hunter Academy as well, though Primal Academy was not officially recognized by other kingdoms

While not considered legitimate Hunters by all Kingdom, the trainees and graduates Hunters of Primal are not of lower quality than ours. Their teamwork teaching is The Pack, which is a combination of Vacuo and Atlas, it means be strong and do your part. Unlike other Academies, their teams have 1 leader and 2 members, called a Triad. When in battle, each Triad will be responsible for their own area or enemy based on the order of Pack Leader, after a victory, they will proceed to another enemy or support a nearby Triad unless they have direct order from Pack Leader to do something else. The ranks are absolute in battle, a member will obey leader, and leader will obey Pack Leader to the letter. But outside of combat, the position of leader in the Triad may be challenged, mostly with trial by combat. On the other hand, Pack Leader is chosen by Triad leaders by public voting
