Alexis didn't go home after she left the sewers. She went to visit Allyson, possibly to assuage some of her guilt about what she'd just done.

Alexis found Allyson sitting up in her hospital bed, alone. "How are you feeling?" she asked.

"I'm better," Allyson replied, "Grandmother said you were out there hunting for him with everyone. No one can find him. That seems pretty hard to believe," she almost scoffed.

Alexis shrugged, "Maybe he died from all the injuries he got from that beating. Adrenaline can only keep people going for so long. We all need to forget about him and move on with our lives, especially your Grandmother."

"Good luck selling that idea to anyone in Haddonfield. He killed everyone I care about except for you and Laurie. He doesn't get to sneak away and die. He needs to suffer," Allyson seethed.

Alexis nodded but inside she knew she needed to get Michael out of Haddonfield. She just wasn't sure how she could get him to leave when all he wants is to go back to his childhood home.

Two days after her encounter with Michael, Alexis gathered more supplies including food and water like she'd promised and made her way, very discreetly, back to the tunnel where she hoped she would still find him.

She crawled through the small opening until she reached the point where she could stand up straight and she called his name, "Michael?"

He emerged from one of the side tunnels, cocking his head to the side as he examined the identity of his visitor. She imagined he was trying to decide if today was her time to die.

"I came back to check on your injuries," she nearly whispered, "And, I brought you food and water even though the offer to hide out in my home still stands," she added, trying to make her voice sound more confident.

She took a cautious step forward as she raised her basket of goods toward him in a show of good faith. She imagined he didn't have the ability to trust anyone after what he's been through.

Michael took the basket from her hands and examined what was inside. He discreetly pulled up his mask high enough to drink a bottle of water, but not enough to reveal his face to her.

"May I look at your wounds?" Alexis asked as she took another step in his direction, waiting on him to give her some sign that it was ok.

Michael placed the basket on the ground and, once again, unzipped his coveralls as an invitation for her to come closer.

Alexis offered him a shy smile as she moved closer and looked over her work from their previous encounter.

"These are looking a lot better," she commented as she gently ran her fingers over his skin, noticing the subtle ways he reacted to her touch. "I'd like to give you another round of antibiotics if you'll allow it?"

Michael didn't say anything. Instead, he rolled up his sleeve as she'd done before to allow her access to start another IV.

Alexis nodded as she started the IV and let the medicine run into his veins again. "I'll stay unitl it finishes. I don't need to come back again, but I will if that's something you want?" she asked, already knowing he wouldn't say anything.

Michael reached out with his free hand and grasped her wrist, gently. She took that as a sign that he wanted her to come back again. She wasn't sure if he wanted her for her medical knowledge, the food she brought, or something else but she was intrigued to find out.

Her biggest fear was that her best friend, or worse Laurie, would wonder where she was going and find him.
