Haruka walked down the cold and barren streets of Kamurocho, feeling lonelier than ever. She's been an orphan for as long as she could remember, but now, she was a double orphan. Not even Kiryu wanted to take care of her anymore.
"Haruka, you don't understand," he said to her when they met for the last time. "You'll never be safe as long as I'm the Fifth Yakuza. Every second you spend here is a second you could be abducted and used against me, so it will be safer for the both of us if I send you to Super Idol Academia in Sotenbori. Some lady named Playground-chan will look after you."
"No!" Haruka had cried. "I can't be a Super Idol 的笑容 都没你的甜, I don't even speak Chinese!"
"I'm sorry," Kiryu solemnly replied, "but it is what has to be done. Pretending to change your race will only make it harder to affiliate you with me."
But Haruka refused to become a Super Idol 的笑容 都没你的甜, in fact, she ditched Playground-chan and the other Super Idols to escape back to Kamurocho after finding plane tickets in a coin locker. This may have been overkill, as a taxi could easily make the trip, but orphans can't be choosers.
Kiryu may have tried to keep Haruka safe from the Yakuza, but you just can't take the Yakuza out of the Haruka. Half the letters are the same, afterall. She decided she would go after him and find a way to join the Yakuza herself, becoming the Sixth Yakuza.
There was just one problem. She was a 16 year old girl. She would have to train harder than a starving idol from Super Idol Academia to have even a shot of overcoming the misogyny. Luckly, her old Uncle Kaz taught her a few tricks in the time they were together. She thought maybe it was time for a test run. She walked up to the first man she saw wearing the ugliest drip she'd ever seen in her life, assured that he would be looking for a fight. After all, the best way to gain any sort of reputation in Tokyo was through your fists.
"Hey, you, what's up man? Give me money please," the poorly dressed man begged as she approached. Haruka didn't even justify him with a response. He didn't deserve one. What he DID deserve though, was to be crippled for life in "self defense."
Haruka wasted no time getting a foot between his legs. The man let out a「あああうあうあううおおあおおおおおお!!!!」as Haruka followed up with a second even harder kick, and he fell to the ground.
Mercilessly, Haruka ran up to the downed man and elbow dropped his face, painting the pavement crimson red. The man weakly got up and wiped at his bloody nose grunting, "Wow, you. Very rude, me mad now."
A red cloud formed around the thug's head, indicating just how furious he had become. Unfortunately, Haruka had begun taunting the man as he got up and was unable to move.
"You do not have beautiful eyes," he said before slapping Haruka across the face, something Haruka was all too familiar with. You see, about 7 years ago, Kiryu once slapped Haruka in the Serena bar for seemingly no reason. He tried to apologize like it was nothing, but the pain from his palm never ceased.
During Haruka's traumatic flashback, the thug then lifted her up and threw her across the street. The crowd that had formed around them cheered, but none of them were willing to help the 16 year old girl who was being assaulted. That is, until they heard a devilish chuckle not unlike the Poltergeist sound effect from Super Mario Maker.
"Well, well, well, so ya thought ya could get into a scrap here on Tenkaichi Street, but that's bad fer business, and this here turf belongs to the Majima Family. So you better clear yer asses off before I rip ya a new one."
Haruka lifted her bruised face off the pavement to see that none other than the Mad Dog of Shimano, though he was no longer part of Shimano, to clarify, had come to intervene in her nearly fatal conflict.
Majima's singular eye widened to comically large proportions as it noticed Haruka lying beaten on the pavement.
"What the hell!? Yer Kiryu-chan's brat aintcha?" he bellowed in bewilderment. "Aintcha s'possed to be at Super Idol Academia?"
"Majima-San..!" Haruka called in relief. "I never thought I'd be glad to see you." She pointed at the thug. "Can you beat him up Yakuza-Style please?"
"I don't have a 'Yakuza-Style,' but lucky fer you, barging into fights uninvited is my specialty," he cheered, dancing through the crowd until he stood between Haruka and the fiend.
"But I just did invite you," Haruka tried to protest, but was interrupted by a shockwave as a powerful pink aura began emanating from Majima's shoulders. Somehow, a funky beat was also echoed through the shockwave. Then Haruka noticed it was coming from a boombox being held by Nishida in the background. However, by the time Haruka's eyes drifted back to the battlefield, the thug was already dead, a knife in his chest. She hadn't even noticed when Majima changed styles.
The crowd dispersed instantly, leaving no one but her and Majima, who pulled his knife from the alleged corpse. Said "corpse" immediately resurrected himself and handed Majima a cast iron plate, apologizing profusely.
"Majima-san," Haruka cried. "You just saved my life. Thank you very much."
"Don't thank me just yet," Majima objected. "I've half a mind to send ya straight back to Super Idol Academia. What the hell are you doin' here in Kamurocho?"
Haruka sighed. "I tried to tell Uncle Kaz that I can't be a Super Idol 的笑容 都没你的甜, but he wouldn't listen! So you see, that's why I'm here, Majima-San. I'm going to become the Sixth Yakuza. Then maybe, just maybe, Uncle Kaz will be so proud that he'll never send me away again!"
"That's nice n all, but who the hell did he leave in charge of the orphanage if you're here and he's not there?"
"Mikio."
"Oh yeah. Forgot that guy existed."
"I forget sometimes too. I just hope he doesn't get his head smashed with a sledgehammer again. He hasn't been the same since— I have no idea why Uncle Kaz trusted him to run the orphanage."
"Now, Haruka-chan, you can't discriminate against someone just 'cause they're different. That would be like taking down an entire criminal organization just because they're Korean."
"..."
"..."
"Um, Majima-san?"
"Don't ask me about that last bit."
"Oh, no, actually, I was wondering if you could help me become the Sixth Yakuza."
"And how the hell am I s'possed to do that?"
"Well… you have your own family, right? Maybe you can just let me in. It would be easier to become the Sixth Yakuza if I were a normal Yakuza first."
"I dunno if that's a good idea, Haruka-chan. Just think of how furious Kiryu-chan would be if he found out. I bet he'd come at me fists first, muscles bulging, his teeth gritted, yellin' about how irresponsible I am…"
"..."
"On second thought, yer in, kiddo. Welcome to the family."
"Paloomp! Oh god, I'm already imitating the Super Idols. We have to get me Yakuzing, fast!"
"The hell?! Alright, alright, let's get moving. I doubt it'd blow over well if I marched ya straight to Tojo HQ, so let's stop by that bar Kiryu-chan always brings ya to fer some reason."
