Loosely based on the Saw III Director's Cut ending. The story will take place during the end of Saw III and Saw IV (yes, both films take place at the same time, so it is confusing).
Disclaimer: I do not own Saw. It belongs to Lionsgate Entertainment.
John Kramer's Sick Room, Gideon Meatpacking Plant
Mere moments have passed since the death of John Kramer. Jeff Denlon, who had been forced to play one of Jigsaw's twisted games, had slashed his throat using an electric buzzsaw, thinking he had finally ended Kramer's rampage. Unknown to him, Kramer's heart monitor was connected to the Shotgun Collar placed on his wife, Lynn.
By killing off Kramer, Jeff essentially caused the death of his wife. With the last of his strength, Kramer played Jeff's tape, which informed him that he was the only person who knew his daughter's location. After Kramer succumbed to his injuries, his heart rate flatlined and Lynn's head was blown off by the Collar, knocking out Jeff.
Jeff got up and tried to open his eyes, but he felt his world being blurry and was confused about his surroundings as he slowly crawled on the floor.
"Lynn?" Jeff called out, but he didn't hear anything. "I'm gonna get us out of here now, okay?"
As he continued crawling, Jeff found the tape that Kramer dropped upon his death, which informed him of his daughter's disappearance. Then he began reaching out to his wife, before he noticed her hair all over the floor.
"But your beautiful hair... Your beautiful hair..."
As Jeff touched Lynn's hair, he looked at his wife's corpse, whose head was blown off by the Collar. Jeff was horrified to see his dead wife.
"Lynn... Lynn..." That was all Jeff had to say.
Devastated, Jeff sat down by Lynn's corpse and grabbed her hand. Jeff's emotions ran wild high as he began reflecting on the last two hours of his life. Jeff thought the death of his son, Dylan, messed him up badly, but it was nothing compared to the trials he had endured. With his daughter locked away and his wife now dead, all hope was lost. All Jeff had to do now was to sit helplessly as the tears began dropping from his eyes and he kissed Lynn's hand.
"I'm so sorry. So sorry." Jeff said, trying to fight back the tears, before his emotions got the best of him.
Jeff continued to cry as he began to realize that he had screwed things up. Had he not allowed his anger of losing his son and thirst for revenge to overwhelm him, his wife would have remained alive. Danica, Halden and Timothy would have remained alive as well. Jeff recalled Halden's advice before saving Timothy.
"No sentence I gave him, not 500 years, not even death, nothing would take your pain away. And vengeance doesn't solve anything. It just makes the pain greater, Jeff."
Having realized that he had nothing to live for now that he completed his revenge, Jeff noticed Amanda's gun on the floor and got up to grab it, leaving Lynn's corpse and the tape behind. As he grabbed the gun, Jeff swallowed and pointed the gun at his head. After three years of suffering, Jeff would finally put an end to all of this. No more suffering. No more misery. Not anymore.
However, Jeff couldn't bring himself to do it and lowered the gun down. Though he was unable to end his own life, Jeff was ready to face his fate. It was at this moment someone opened the door and entered the room. As the man entered the room, he saw Jeff standing besides John Kramer's body.
"Let me see your hands." The man demanded as he pointed his gun at him. "Let me see your hands!"
Thinking it was one of Kramer's disciples, Jeff turned around to face the man and screamed. "WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?! YOU MOTHER..."
Jeff drew Amanda's gun at the man, but before he could do anything, the man, Peter Strahm, shot at Jeff twice. Jeff dropped Amanda's gun and quickly succumbed to his injuries, falling dead on the floor.
After killing Jeff in self-defense, Strahm looked around and saw Lynn's corpse.
"Jesus." Strahm was shocked by seeing Lynn's corpse.
Strahm then looked away from Lynn's corpse and quickly checked the room, seeing the corpses of Amanda Young and John Kramer. Strahm couldn't believe his eyes.
And that's the end of the story. To be honest, I'm really not a big fan of Jeff, but I wanted to write the story to showcase the last minutes he lived before he was killed in Saw IV, demonstrating how much the trials he faced during Saw III, as well as the death of his wife and the disappearance of his daughter, could have affected him, to the point where he accepted his fate. I hope I did a good job there.
Let me know your thoughts on this story and I hope you enjoyed it. Stay safe everyone and take care.
