Opie grinned at his weekly letter from Dylan. Man did he adore this girl. She was open, a little wild at heart, and honest. They had shared a lot of deep shit and Opie could say he had been over Donna for years now. He still wrote his kids, talked to them on the phone and had even seen them a couple of times. Him and Donna were cordial, and his ex seemed to be doing well in Colorado. With him getting out in six months, they had talked about the kids having some summertime visitation. That relieved some tension in Opie, he was afraid she would not let that happen.

Dylan though, he meant it when he said he wanted to meet her in person. Maybe she could come out for a week or two. He couldn't move to Wyoming, even if he wasn't going to be on parole. He wouldn't leave the club. He didn't want to assume a relationship with Dylan, but he knew the girl loved him, she had started signing her letters "Love always, Dylan".

Shaking his head to focus, he read the newest letter, ignoring the envelope.

Dear Opie,

I have a surprise for you- if the envelope didn't give it away. I moved to California. In fact, I live right on the edge of Charming now. I literally just got here and am sleeping on the floor of my new house. I got a job with Oswald Industries. I start in two weeks. Enough time to get unpacked and settled with all the things you need to do when you move. Grandmama gave me a list because that is what she does.

I hope that doesn't freak you out, but I want to take a chance with you. I've never seen you in person or heard your voice but you know me better than anyone else. And if you don't take chances in life then you could miss out on the best thing or person to ever happen to you. If this blows up in my face, I am lucky enough to have a family to go back to.

I love you Harry. I know there are things you haven't told me. I know you are a criminal, and have an ex-wife and kids. I accept that. I enjoy hearing about your kids and it is endearing to hear how much you love them. How you want to be in their lives as much as you can. That whole dad thing is kinda sexy.

Please tell me if you want the same chance with me. If not, I'm a big girl and I can take it. I would rather have your honesty than a lie.

May the stars light your path and may love settle your heart.

Love always,

Dylan

Opie had to double check the envelope and then read the letter three more times before it all sank in with him. An attractive, intelligent, independent young woman wanted a chance with him. A criminal outlaw with an ex-wife, kids and who would go right back to his outlaw ways. He had never explicitly said that, but Dylan was smart. He knew she knew. She moved across the country to take a chance with him, woman had some guts and a crazy streak.

What did Opie want? He wanted a young cowgirl from Wyoming. And he would tell her, then show her just that.
