A/N: Have you ever wondered how Kingdom Hearts would have been like if Square Enix collaborated with Toei instead of Disney? No, I'm not talking about Dragon Ball nor One Piece, I don't mean any anime… I'm talking about Super Sentai, you know… the original Japanese Power Rangers counterpart. There's one fanfic that it inspired me to bring this to you.

Disclaimer: The franchise utilized in this story don't belong to me. They are properties of Square Enix, Disney and Toei Company.

Prologue: The Awakening

"I have been having weird thoughts lately… like is any of this real or not?"

The water was warm. Very warm. Like a mother's embrace; you just wanted to fall asleep in it. But in Sora's predicament, this wasn't possible. He didn't understand what was happening. Was this a dream? No. He could feel the water clogging up his nostrils and ears. This had to be real, he thought. He tried to regain mobility, hoping he could swim to the surface.

However, something restrained his movement. And he didn't know its origin.

A feel of dread began settling in his mind. How long was he to descend? How deeper would he go? Would he drown long before reaching the bottom of the deep, dark sea? His body began to rotate while managing to barely open his sky-blue eyes. Below him was a sand.

Despite feeling the impact, Sora found himself standing up in the beach, no longer feeling surrounded by the water. He shielded his eyes from the sunlight to have a clear view and gasped in surprise; it was a teenage boy with long silver hair. He had his back turned to Sora as he stared out at the horizon. The boy wore a sleeveless shirt that had to straps going down the back of his shirt to form an "X". He wore loose blue jeans, and a donned a pair of black gloves.

Sora called the boy. "Riku!?"

Riku remained silent, he continued staring at the horizon, letting Sora's words float by and drift out to sea. Riku was Sora's best friend. And oldest friend. They knew each other their whole lives, not once had Sora seen him in such a peculiar state. Sora started to make his way to the ocean, but he stopped upon noticing something was amiss.

There was no sign of fear in Riku. He simply turned around and held out his hand to Sora.

A welcoming expression was etched onto his face. He's nuts, Sora thought; or, considering surreal imagery, maybe he was the crazy one. Regardless, he was not about to let his best friend be devoured by the relentless sea. There was only one thing to do with this disaster…

Run out to tidal wave!

It would consume them both. But Sora didn't care at all. What mattered most to him was to save his best friend. He hurried into the ocean, Riku didn't flinch at all. Before Sora could reach him, the wave consumed both.

The force from the wave caused Sora to spin out of control, but he recovered, and was floating underwater. He looked up to see Riku standing straight in the water, starting right at him with that same expression. It was like he wasn't affected by the Mother Nature's wrath entirely. Riku held out his hand again.

Sora desperately tried to reach for Riku, but the strong waves pulled him away from his friend, the next thing he knew, is that the waves pushed him up to the surface, ending up in the beach.

Sora gasped as he emerged from the water, shaking his head to get the excessive out of his spiky brown hair. While catching his breath, he noticed the setting of the island had changed. The ocean was calm.

The sun was setting over the horizon. This was getting stranger by second that was passing, he thought. Sora looked around for any sign of Riku. His search didn't last long, as he saw a redhead teenage calling for him.

That girl was Kairi, Sora's and Riku's closest friend, who was standing on the shore, waving for him, Sora waved back with a smile approaching her as she was hopping up and down, smiling at him.

It seemed that the insanity had ended but Kairi looked up and saw someone falling down, Sora followed and he gasped in shock on the identity of that falling person.

It was himself!

Another strange feeling came over him, as if someone pushed his chest. Kairi watched in surprise as Sora started to fall. And he wasn't falling onto the shore. No, he was falling from the sky straight to the ocean.

Everything was surreal and bizarre, there was no reason for Sora to find himself stumbling through. Everything that happened felt so real. He found himself sinking to the bottom of the ocean again.

As he managed to recover, Sora landed on his feet. He looked around the area, it was an endless void of darkness. Only a beacon of light from above prevented the vicinity from tapering off into pitch of blackness, all he could do, was to stay alert. Who knew what kinds of surprises awaited him next?

Sora took a step forward. Suddenly, the ground below him started glowing intensely, and he shielded his eyes from the brightness. White doves emerged from the ground, revealing a red platform. Sora watched in confusion and awe over everything that transpired. Strangely, he felt like he was no longer in underwater. After the doves flew away, he looked at the ground to see he was standing on an enormous, illuminated stained-glass pillar.

He noticed there was a picture of a person embed on the pillar, the man wore what looked like a red costume, as a superhero or something but with ninja and wing themes, on the helmet was a visor, obstruction of his view of the eyes. Sora had no idea who this person was, but there were other matters on his mind. Like where he was, or what this all meant. But unbeknownst to him, he's soon be embarking on an epic and incredible journey:

A journey into the world of Super Sentai.

KINGDOM HEARTS: SUPER SENTAI REMIX

A/N: It's been a long time, fellas. For those who are awaiting the next chapter of my Kingdom Hearts X Fire Emblem Three Houses crossover fanfic, let me tell you that there's lots of things going on and I don't have much time to write, because let's be honest, we all have writer's block and sitting down all day long in front of the computer makes us tired, not only physically but mentally, that takes our inspiration away and we would need to do something to get it back and be back on track. But don't worry, I'll eventually write the next chapter and publish it for you guys.

See you.
