I'm actually starting to feel guilty writing this LMAO

It was a normal day at school for Allen. The classes go by fast, the kids kept calling him names, and his friends scared them off. Those pictures still terrorized Allen. He couldn't even be in the same building with a women's bathroom or he'd get severely berated.

This is considered a normal day; though, it wouldn't be a normal day for much longer. 25 minutes into his 5th period, there's a phone call. Allen's professor, Mr. Komui, answers the phone. "Ah, Allen, this is for you! Come answer it," he says. Allen rushes over to the phone and takes it outside the room.

"Ah, I assume this is Mr. Walker?" A woman says on the line. "Yes! What do you need?" Allen asks politely. "This will be hard news to take, but I'm a doctor from Noah's Ark hospital, and I've come to inform you that your father has passed away in a car accident." The woman replies. Allen bursts out laughing. "Funny prank, ma'am," Allen says. The doctor sighs. "I'm not pranking you, Mr. Walker. Look up Mater Ave road accident and you'll see what happened. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Bye." The doctor says and hangs up.

Allen's blood runs cold. There's no way, right? Mana was always a careful driver. You could argue that he was the best driver. Allen needs to check. 'Mater Ave, huh?' Allen questions. He enters the classroom and puts the phone back on its holder. "Why such a sullen face, Allen?" Mr. Komui questions. "I-I just need to check something. I'll be right back." Allen replies. He walks up to Lenalee and asks for her phone. She gives it to him and he walks back out of the classroom.

He sits down outside the classroom and looks it up. Sure enough, there are recent articles. "Drunk driving incident leaves man dead." the title read. Allen looked through the whole article and felt sick to his stomach. He read how a drunk driver struck and killed Mana while he was doing his waiter job at an outside restaurant. Allen was so unbelievably angry. He couldn't believe it. He almost broke Lenalee's phone with how hard he was gripping it.

Allen returned to the classroom and returned the phone to Lenalee. He sat down and couldn't focus for the rest of the period. His mind was running wild. How could someone take his father away from him? No, how could someone take an angel away from this world? All Mana ever did was be kind to people. Why'd he have to die early?

Lavi, Kanda, Lenalee, and Mr. Komui kept giving him worried glances from time to time due to his facial expression and the energy he radiated. Allen continued to worry his friends as they walked to their 6th period. Allen was silent even when they were talking to him. He was too busy in his own mind to pay attention to anything.

The group parted ways and went to their elective classes. Allen sat in his seat and waited for the bell to ring. Once it did, his piano teacher entered the room and started the lesson. Not even 5 minutes in, he got a phone call summoning him to the attendance office.

Allen got up, got his stuff, and went to the attendance office. He hurried over there and opened the door. He greeted the assistant and went into one of the smaller rooms. "Ah, Walker, we heard about what happened, and my condolences." assistant principal, Link, said. Allen just nodded. "Well, since you're still too young, you cannot live by yourself. So there have been some things changed and your uncle will have custody over you." Mr. Link informs.

This surprised Allen greatly. He never really got to meet his uncle, but Mana talked about some great things about him previously. Mana did say that his uncle, Nea, was there when Allen was born and helped him look after him when his mom ditched them. Allen nodded again and Mr. Link motioned he follow him. The two go into the pick-up room and Allen sees him. He's filling out the early pick-up sheet. He looks just like Mana, but more masculine and with shorter hair.

"Nea, your nephew is here." Mr. Link announces. Nea hurries to finish signing and quickly puts the pen down. Nea looks up at Mr. Link and nods. Mr. Link leaves and now he and Allen are making eye contact. "Ah, it's nice to see you again, Allen. My, how you have grown!" Nea says. Allen just nods. He can't really react right now because too much is going on at once. Nea's smile weakens and he goes to embrace the broken child. He rubs Allen's back. "We'll get through this together, Allen. I promise to love you just as much as Mana did." Nea says.

This woke Allen up from his trance and made him come to terms with reality. Mana was dead. Allen begins crying into Nea's chest. Nea lifts the small, crying boy and carries him to his car. They embrace a little longer until Allen stops crying. Allen moves over to the passenger side and buckles up.

Nea starts the car and puts the radio on to lighten the atmosphere. A Weezer song plays and Allen begins lightly laughing. "What's so funny about Weezer?" Nea questions. "O-Oh, my friend, Lavi, always said that Weezer is the reason he went blind in one eye and proceeded to tell the most bullshit story about it. It was super funny." Allen replies. Nea chuckles. "He sounds like quite the friend." Nea comments. Allen nods. "Yeah, all my friends are goofballs," Allen says quietly. Nea smiles and drives into a rich neighborhood.

Allen squints. "Why are we where mansions are?" Allen questions. "Because I live here," Nea replies. Allen gets shocked. Nea was Mana's brother, why didn't they share a fortune? Nea looks at the front mirror and chuckles. "I see that look on your face and I know what you might be thinking. After a business call, Mana and I lost contact and I didn't know where he could be. So hearing this call earlier about him dying shocked me to no end. I couldn't even spend more time with him." Nea says. Allen starts to feel his chest hurt. He doesn't feel like crying again, so he'll just prevent it. "Mana always said good things about you," Allen says, choking back a sob. Nea gives him a sad smile and they pull up to the house.

"Okay, before we enter, I have a roommate. His name is Cross. He's a bit grumpy, so sorry if he angers you." Nea informs. "So, you share the rent?" Allen asks. "No, I'm just bored and lonely, so I let this homeless priest into my house. It's very entertaining to annoy him." Nea replies. Allen nods and thinks of his friends and him.

They leave the car and enter the mansion. "Cross, come meet my nephew!" Nea shouts. Grumbling and stumbling could be heard from a distance. A shirtless Alpha with lipstick marks all over him and a serious case of bedhead comes peaking out from one of the many halls. "I was in the middle of something important. Better be worthwhile." Cross says. Nea smiles and motions to Allen. "This is my nephew, Allen. He'll be living with us starting today!" Nea announces excitedly. Allen bows to Cross.

Cross studies the male in front of him. "How is this old man your nephew?" Cross asks. That irked Allen. "I'm 17! I just have a lot of stress!" he shouts. Cross raises an eyebrow. "Sucks to suck. Welcome to adulthood." Cross says and leaves. "I hate him," Allen states. Nea laughs. "You'll get used to it," he says and ruffles his hair. Allen sighs and smiles.

Nea gives Allen a tour of the mansion and Allen realized that he will be lost quite frequently. Nea said that his room was crossed from Allen's and that he can come in if he needed literally anything. Nea's been trying to lighten the mood of things, but it hasn't had much effect. Allen is still as quiet as a mouse and deep in thought. He even introduced him to his dog, Timcanpy, but that also had little effect.

Allen quickly got settled into his room and locked himself away for the rest of the day. He just cried himself to sleep after bottling in his emotions for so long. Nea did the same, but he didn't fall asleep. He just laid in bed staring at the ceiling for a few hours.
