The bright yellow sun rose in the distant horizon, chasing the darkness and shadow into their hiding places. The light cut through the dark waters of the Pacific, revealing a school carrier. The USS George Washington, home of Saunders University High School. Many people would have already began their day even before the sun was seen. Shops opened up for the day, bakers began to bake bread; the only place without activity would be at the school itself and all her students, many of whom were still asleep and resting.
Among a picturesque suburb located a short half-kilometer from the main Saunders campus, lay a home that was wonderfully simple and modern. The home of Kay, the famous leader of Saunders; and her younger sister Sachi. Their home is a Michigan-style house like many of the other houses of Saunders. The front lawn was bare, save for a cherry blossom tree.
Moving past the front yard and driveway stands the garage, where the sisters' personal vehicle is. A Willys Jeep, alongside this are two bikes and many boxes, with a door that leads into the backyard. Unlike the front, the backyard is full of many different items: a BBQ, chairs, and an umbrella located near the patio door. At the end of the backyard sat another cherry blossom tree and much more.
Moving away from the outside world and into the cozy house. To the right lay the living room, equipped with a grand TV in front of two black couches. One of which was hugging the wall. The centerpiece of the room was a coffee table. Directly opposite this area would stand a kitchen that is well stocked, with a door leading to the garage and pantry at the back of it. Down the hall from here lays the front entrance and another hallway on the right. In that hallway were the study room and bedroom.
Inside the bedroom, there was a single queen-sized bed pressed against the wall, with a nightstand next to it, that would have two drawers. The top was a mess of wires connected to a lamp that was standing next to the water bottle. Along with a dog bed beside that. In front of the bed is a small TV mounted up on the wall. The walls were covered in posters depicting Shermans of all sizes and stripes, old Saunders recruitment posters, Studio Ghibli films, and much more.
Movement could have been seen coming from the bed. Kay's eyes slowly began to open. Darkness would be the first thing she sees, with a glow of light to her right. Turning her head in that direction, she saw the source of the light. A small clock resting on the desk displaying the time 6:30 am.
"it's too early.." Kay spoke in a quiet voice, slowly laying back down and closing her eyes. Only to open them after what felt like a few moments for her, but in reality, had been a few hours.
Instead of seeing darkness like when she opened her eyes last time. There was more light in the room, and turning her head in the direction where the light was coming from, Kay was able to see its source. Golden rays of sunlight seeped through the blinds, looking down next to her. There was a girl with blonde hair whose head wasn't facing her.
Before she was able to do anything else, Kay found herself stretching her right arm to the heavens in tandem with a yawn. After doing this, her attention would shift back to the girl asleep next to her. Very gently, she shook the sleeping girl.
"Sachi wake up." She said in a low and gentle voice. Upon getting no response, Kay shook Sachi's arm gently. Still no response, only the sounds of Sachi mumbling something about wolves.
"I don't care about wolves Sachi... I care about you waking up." She said in a slightly annoyed voice. After not getting a response again, Kay decided that it was now time to take more drastic measures to wake her sister. She leaned in close and raised her voice before nearly shouting in Sachi's ear "Wake up!"
Sachi, startled by the sudden noise, quickly woke up with a look of annoyance on her face. "What the hell was that for?" She complained, with a similarly irritated voice.
"I tried to wake you up gently, and you refused to wake up. So I was forced to take more drastic measures to ensure that you wake up." Kay answered with a smug face. This expression would quickly changes as Kay's head gets assaulted with a pillow.
"That, does not mean you have to yell into my ears, you idiot!" Sachi replies as she bashes the pillow against Kay's head, over and over. As this goes on the sounds of Kay's laughter fill up the room.
After taking a few more hits from Sachi, Kay decides it's time to hit back against the attacker. Quickly Kay grabbed her own pillow and used it in a quick counterattack. Soon she would be on the attack as her opponent attempts to desperately counter the counterattack.
Soon, the battle between the two sisters resulted in a victory for Kay! As the exhausted and still, very-tired Sachi lay back down on the bed. Kay soon followed from behind, lying down beside her. "That was fun, wasn't it?" she asked Sachi, turning her head to look at her.
"It was," Sachi responds in a quiet tired voice, having used up most of the energy she had in the fight. As a result of this, she now has a strong desire to be able to fall asleep again. As her eyes slowly began to close, Kay quickly made a move to ensure that Sachi did not fall asleep again. By hugging her extremely tightly
"I'm up, I'm up!" Sachi said, in an attempt to get Kay to stop.
"Good, I'm going to use the washroom first you better not have fallen asleep by the time I get back," Kay warns Sachi, as she gets up and goes out of the room.
Sachi lay in bed, waiting for Kay to leave the room once happy that Kay was gone. Sachi quickly grabs her wolf plushie that fell to the ground and proceeds to cuddle it as she falls back to sleep.
After a little while, Kay returned to the room to find Sachi asleep again. "Sachi… You better wake up by the time I count to 5 or else." Warned Kay, without getting a response from the sleeping girl "One.. two... three.. four" As she counted up to 5, Sachi would have just continued to rest peacefully.
Before Kay could finish counting to 5, there would be signs of Sachi reluctantly waking up. As Kay spoke louder every time she counted up from one to four.
"Good you're awake again, this time you better not fall back asleep.. Or else." the older sibling spoke in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Alright, alright." Sachi then got up and stood in front of kay still a bit tired. Before being able to do anything else, Kay suddenly pulled Sachi into a big hug. She right away returned the hug Kay gave her, only letting go after a while, heading to go and get ready for the day.
After a while, Sachi had finished getting ready for the day. Now found herself making breakfast with her sister, a classic American-style one. Eggs, Bacon, and Pancakes, are one of Kay's fav breakfasts to have. Soon both sisters were sitting at the kitchen island enjoying their meal while planning out the day at the same time. As they planned it out, two dogs entered the room, one a husky and the other a golden retriever. The husky would go up to Sachi calmly, while the other one basically ran to Kay.
"Hello, Sierra, did you sleep well?" Sachi asks the husky this as she strokes her dog's head, getting a bark in response. "Want something to eat?" As this is being asked she offers a piece of bacon to the husky. Sierra happily took the piece of bacon.
Meanwhile, Kay was busy giving Goldie lots of love. "Who's a good girl!" In response, Goldie would end up giving her tons of kisses and licks. Something that causes her to end up giggling a lot.
"I will get out their food," Sachi says as she got up and went over to the kitchen. She then takes out a box of food pouring it into two bowls. Then she places it on the floor in front of the two dogs giving both their heads a quick rub, before heading back to Kay.
"Would you like to go and get ready first Sachi? I can clean up the kitchen in the meantime." Proposes Kay as she gets up, looking at her younger sister waiting for her reply. "Sure that works for me." With that said Sachi, left the room to prepare for the day ahead.
After a while, both of them were ready standing outside of their front door. Kay was wearing her usual, green jacket, with a bluish coat right under it, a small blue skirt, long white socks, and a pair of black boots. Sachi herself was wearing the same clothes as Kay, with the exception of her own jacket being a darker shade of green compared to Kay's./p
"All ready to go then?" Kay asks, looking at Sachi.
"Yup, let's get going." Replies Sachi, as they both start to head over to the jeep out in the driveway. Kay herself commandeering the Jeep, starting the journey to the school grounds.
