coffee shop AU with Person A changing the menu for a Halloweeny menu, much to Person B's distaste

"If I hear pumpkin spice one more time, I'm going to scream," Sirius said to his best friend while they walked towards their favourite coffee shop. "Why must people change things when Halloween is coming?"

"Because people like Halloween and pumpkin is very popular this time of the year," James replied, pushing Sirius' shoulder.

Sirius scoffed, even if he saw James' point. He was glad their favourite coffee shop isn't changing anything, menu wisely, and he could escape the crazy pumpkin spice around him.

It wasn't until they arrived at 'Coffeetopia' that Sirius realised how wrong he was.

"No! Why would someone do something so vile like that?" Sirius whined, looking at the menu outside the shop. "People these days have no shame."

"You're really a drama queen, aren't you? What do people do now?" James asked, opening the door and waiting for Sirius to enter.

"They changed the entire menu to something spooky! This isn't funny, people!" Sirius was in a tirade, and he could see James was trying not to laugh. "You're a traitor, James."

"You're just too much sometimes," James said, laughing heartily. "Careful, or you're going to scare your little crush."

Sirius blushed, not giving him an answer and finally entering the coffee shop. The interior was decorated with pumpkins, bats, cute little ghosts and everything halloweeny. Sirius hated it.

"I don't know why people order something so vile like a pumpkin spice latte," Sirius said, in a disgusted voice.

"Pumpkin spice isn't bad, you're just a hater," a voice said from the counter, and Sirius felt himself blushing. "I gather that you don't want one of my special lattes, then?"

Lily Evans was a barista for Coffeetopia ever since Sirius and James started hanging around it, and Sirius had a crush on her ever since he met her.

"He may not want your lattes, but anything else? He may take your offer on it," James said, winking at Lily. "Is Allie around? I have something to discuss with her."

"She's in the back, just go for it," Lily said, smiling at James. "I think she may have something for you."

It was James' turn to blush, and Sirius' turn to smile in triumph. James had been dating the other barista, Alice for a while now, and he was insupportably happy.

"I'll let you to your devices," James said, before winking at Sirius and walking to the back of the coffee shop.

Lily waved at him, before turning to Sirius and smiling at him. "Are you really a hater for a spooky menu?"

"It doesn't make sense! And pumpkin spice seems so blergh!" Sirius made a disgusted face. "How can people eat something like that?"

Smiling, Lily turned and started to make a latte. "Let's make a deal. If you like my latte, you have to stop being a hater of pumpkin spice."

Sirius raised an eyebrow, "And if I don't like it?"

"We go on a date and you make me try something that I never liked," Lily said, blushing scarlet. "Or something else."

"I think we should go on a date independently if I like it or not," Sirius said, smiling at Lily and kissing her cheek. "How about Friday? Seven pm?"

"It's a date!" Lily beamed at him, before putting a latte in front of him. "Now…taste it and see if you like it or not."

Sirius grimaced, but decided to try it anyway. He may hate pumpkin spice, but it got him a date with Lily, and he wasn't going to complain—much.
