A year had passed since Beca and Chloe were married and have moved into their new house. The two at this point both had successful careers that allowed them to move out of their apartment, and into their first real home. Beca produced two hit albums with an up and coming pop star, and they are currently working on a third. That hasn't stopped Beca from doing her own writing of course, and overall she was enjoying her job, working with people who were willing to work with her. Chloe had also been working for the same vet for two years as a tech, and hoped to soon have her own practice some day. In the interest of moving further along together, the couple has decided to try and get pregnant. The subject of kids came up numerous times in the past, and they've decided they wanted a home first. Also they wanted to be sure the desire to become parents was there. They were now ready to have that conversation, and now is the time. After a stressful few months of Chloe going through the process of IVF with fertilization drugs, Chloe may finally have had some good news.

The pregnancy test was on the bathroom counter as Chloe anxiously waited ten minutes for the results. She paced back and forth, clenching her fists, and trying to keep her breaths steady. Her doctor told her she was young and healthy, and had an excellent chance of conceiving. In the midst of waiting, Beca came home from work, finding her wife pacing in the bathroom.

"So, do we know anything?" Beca asked, placing her hands on Chloe's shoulders.

"I don't know. We're about to find out," Chloe told her.

The two of them nearly jumped out of their skin when Chloe's phone timer went off, and she went to check the test. Chloe's big smile and teary eyes told Beca everything she needed to know.

"Positive?" Beca asked.

Chloe nodded while Beca wrapped her arms around her wife with a few tears falling. Chloe kissed Beca's temple while wiping her own tears. They were ready for their next step, and can't wait to watch their baby grow, come up with names, pick out toys, and most of all tell their friends and family. The Bella get together for tonight just became more exciting for the young couple.

There were so many people Beca and Chloe wanted to tell, and Beca wanted to tell Sarah first. She took a picture of Chloe's positive text and sent it to Sarah. Not even five minutes later Beca's phone was ringing.

"Stop it! You are not!" Sarah said, excited.

"Yeah, we found out this morning," Beca told her.

"Congratulations you guys!" Sarah exclaimed.

All the while, Chloe is on the phone with her mom who couldn't be more excited to be a grandmother. There is still more family and friends to call with the happiest news they've had together yet.

Chloe now in her 8th week is going with Beca to her first appointment with the OBGYN. She knew this would be their longest appointment so she was prepared with a snack. Chloe and Beca tried not to think about anything bad they could possibly find out. Chloe is in good health so there wasn't likely to be a problem, but in the meantime the ladies tried to think of things that excited them. Would they have a boy or girl? Did they have names in mind? What would it be like for Chloe once her baby bump started to show? Chloe nervously drummed her fingers on her lap as Beca reassuringly rubbed her back.

"You doing okay?"

"Yeah, just excited; that's all," Chloe told her.

"Me too."

Before long, Beca and Chloe were called in by a nurse, and led to an exam room. Chloe changed into a gown before the nurse checked her heart rate, blood pressure, and her temperature, while also filling out all of their insurance information. Once that was done, the two of them waited a little while longer before the doctor came into the room.

"Chloe, Hi I'm Dr. Allen," she said, shaking Chloe's and Beca's hands.

"How are you feeling today?"

"I'm okay. A little tired, but alright otherwise," Chloe told the doctor.

"That's to be expected in your first trimester," Dr. Allen nodded.

She continued to ask Chloe all the necessary health questions. There was no family history of any disease that would be a problem. They had Chloe take a urine test to confirm that she was in fact pregnant, as per the home test. All in all Chloe seemed to be in good shape. The visit included a full physical exam to ensure Chloe is healthy and that the baby will be in good shape as it grows. This has been a long visit, and a process Chloe is anxious to have over with, but the soon to be mothers are excited to be starting a family, and are looking forward to this experience.

One day, Beca and Sarah decided to browse through baby clothes. Beca enjoyed seeing how excited Chloe was awaiting the arrival of their newborn, looking at baby toys and clothes online, and even considering some baby names. All the while, the soon-to-be mothers knew that those would be the easy decisions to make. An infant of course would require a lot of constant care, and there would be plenty of sleepless nights while they would be sleep training. It was the bigger decisions for their child's life that Beca couldn't stop thinking about. For now, she just wanted to lose herself in the array of little baby outfits there were to see.

"Thanks for coming with me today, Sarah," Beca said.

"Anytime. I know things have been stressful for you two these last few months. See anything you might like for the baby?" Sarah asked.

Beca talked a little bit about telling her parents, and her whole family is excited to welcome the little one to the world. Beca's mom, Anita and her Stepmother, Sheila have offered their help and advice for raising a newborn. There's been a different and better relationship with Sheila since Beca had become an adult. Beca has accepted that her parents are happy in their current situation, and she and Sheila have more life experiences they can relate to since Beca has an established career, is married and will be starting a family.

They soon came to a section of the store that has rows of possible outfits from onesies to rompers. Beca kept flipping through the clothes back and forth, but was still at a loss.

"There's so much here, I don't know what to choose," Beca said.

"I'm sure you and Chloe will get plenty of stuff at your baby shower. Are there plans for one yet?" Sarah asked.

"I haven't even had time to think about that right now," Beca asked.

"Ya know I could throw you guys one, if you want," Sarah suggested.

"Yeah, that would be great. We could start to get an invite list all together. The Bellas are all invited, of course," Beca said.

"Definitely. Maybe till' then, you can pick some things out that are gender neutral until you know what you're having,'' Sarah said.

"I'm pretty sure I'm having a baby," Beca smirked.

"Haha, you know what I mean."

Beca settled on a few onesies and a few baby blankets for now. She held her little one's clothes, thinking about getting to put them on her baby soon. This nurturing side of Beca came as a surprise to her, but Sarah kept telling her she would surely be a natural mother. She just hoped her friend was right.
