As the baby shower was fast approaching, Chloe with the help of Stacie went to a baby store where the two of them were making out a gift registry. While Chloe picked out different items she liked, the ladies got to look at different kinds of cribs. Something as simple as picking out a crib became complicated. Chloe was trying to figure out what style she wanted to go for, along with all the safety features to take into consideration. The cribs these girls grew up with as children weren't made the way cribs were today. With all the fear of what clothing could get caught in the bars or whether or not their little one could find trouble to get into, the proper crib selection suddenly became very important. It wasn't just about which one was the prettiest anymore.

"See, this one is similar to what we got for Bella. It has a security lock on it to keep the baby from trying to escape," Stacie pointed out.

"I'm glad to have someone here who's done this before. There's so much to look at, I wouldn't know where to start," Chloe agreed, before noticing a $400 price tag.

"Wow, when did cribs get so expensive?" Chloe asked. "I can see why they are usually a grandparent gift."

"Maybe a few people can chip in on one," Stacie suggested.

"Yeah, hopefully. One way or another we'll get one, I'm sure," Chloe said.

The crib price was just the first venture into Chloe realizing that parenthood is not cheap, and this wouldn't be the last instance either. Yet she was still excited to be pregnant and to meet the little one growing inside her.

As Beca is arriving home from work with Sarah, she walks in the house to find a delivery for the baby's room. Chloe is organizing the nursery in order to make space for it.

"Oh hey, where'd the nursing rocker come from?" Beca asked.

"My parents sent it over. They were able to get it shipped over in good time. They were saying they ordered it less than a week ago," Chloe explained.

The two of them were happy to have the rocker, and likely a crib on the way, and they couldn't wait to see how the finished nursery would look. However upon further examination, there might be a snag in their plans.

"Uhm…we may have a problem," Beca said.

"What?" Chloe asked.

"I don't think this rocker will fit through the door," Beca said.

"It won't fit sideways?" Sarah asked.

She and Beca tried, but the doorway was still too narrow. They tried different directions, but there was still no getting it in. Sarah looked more closely underneath it.

"There's no way this comes apart, huh?" Sarah asked.

"It really won't fit?" Chloe sighed. "Maybe we can keep it in the living room?"

Beca looked across the room still determined to find a solution.

"I think we can fit it in the window," Beca said, opening it up.

Sarah proceeded to pick the chair up, and bring it around back to Beca and lift it in through the window. Although the chair was bulky, it wasn't very heavy, and Sarah was easily able to bring it outside. As soon as the girls got it balanced, they were able to angle the new nursing rocker inside the room, and Beca placed it in its designated spot.

"Well that was quite the project, but I'm glad you found a way to get it in here," Chloe said.

"Yeah, hopefully we won't have any more furniture troubles like that," Beca said. "At least the crib can be put together in the room."

At any rate, the room was starting to come together, and Beca and Chloe couldn't wait to fill the room with all the baby's toys, and make memories with this little one.

Five months into Chloe's pregnancy, Beca and Chloe began converting their second bedroom into a nursery. They were on their way to having the space all ready for their child on the way. The next day was another appointment with their obstetrician to confirm the sex of their baby.

"Are you excited for today?" Beca asked.

"Yeah, and to be honest, I'm okay with whatever we find out," Chloe said.

Beca and Chloe sat in the doctor's office waiting to be called in for their ultrasound appointment. The two were there on time, and it wouldn't be long before Beca and Chloe would get the news they've been waiting for. Chloe flipped through a magazine while bouncing her nervous leg. Beca took her wife's hand, and Chloe sighed not realizing how tense she was. Both of them popped up when the doctor finally called them in, and soon they were all set up able to see their little one on screen.

A tear came to Chloe's eye noticing the baby had her cheeks and her nose. Beca laid a kiss on Chloe's head trying to hide her own happy tears. Even though these life changes were scary, they were changes for the better. Beca was starting a family with the love of her life, and is about to gain another love of her life. She knew they wouldn't be perfect, but the important part is that Beca and Chloe were in this together.

"Well...do we know? Is it a boy or girl?" Chloe asked.

Before they knew it, both women were outside the doctor's office, and Chloe was on the phone with her mom, and happy tears were streaming down her cheeks.

"Mom, It's a girl. We're having a girl." Chloe told her, while Beca hugged her around her shoulders. They couldn't wait to get home and tell everyone else.

While at home and Beca was telling her parents, Chloe took out her phone, sending a group text to the other Bellas. It read, "It's a girl!"

She and Beca were turning in for the night as they received a thread of replies congratulating them. The baby shower was sure to be a fun time, with all of their friends there to celebrate with them.

While at Beca and Chloe's place, Sarah and Stacie were getting the place ready for the baby shower. The two of them spent the better part of the morning setting up balloons and streamers, a spot where the book was set up for the guests to write future messages to the baby, and all of the food was set up on the dining room table. Surely there would be many more of these baby showers to come as more of the Bellas welcomed a little one into their lives. While Sarah did one last check of everything, she thought about what it would be like to meet Beca and Chloe's little girl.

"It's weird, I'm nervous and it's not even my baby shower," Sarah said.

"Don't worry, Sarah. I'm sure they'll like anything you put together."

"I just want this baby shower to go perfectly for them. They deserve to have some fun today," Sarah said.

"I'm sure they will. The girls will all be here, we've got plenty of food, and it'll be nice for them to see everyone."

"Their little girl is lucky. I can't wait to see when Beca and Chloe finally meet her," Sarah said.

"Same here."

Later that day, all the Bellas arrived for the baby shower.

"Sarah, I've got to hand it to you; you really went all out on this party," Chloe said.

"Thank you. I did my best," Sarah said.

"Everything looks great. I think the girls will all have a good time," Beca told her.

Later, the rest of the Bellas arrived for the baby shower. All of the gifts were placed at the corner of the living room, and the girls found themselves a drink and snacks while they admired Beca and Chloe's new house. For many of them it was the first time they've been here, and the young couple was complimented on how far the house has come along. Beca and Chloe have their room, the living room, and the baby's room set up, but the rest of the house still has more to do. They were looking forward to finishing everything up and feeling accomplished.

While the girls were mingling and having snacks, they were completing baby word searches, one of a few games Stacie found to print out along with baby bingo that would be played along with opening gifts. Whoever guessed all the gifts in their row would get bingo and win a prize. Stacie wasn't sure how well the word search would go over, but the girls seemed to be enjoying filling them out, and it made them feel like kids again.

In the kitchen, Beca and Chloe's parents seem to be getting along well, and the four of them are excited to be grandparents. Susan and Anita have been giving their daughters lots of advice in relation to preparing a bottle, and getting through late nights. Seeing all the Bellas here today eased their parents' worries about whether the new mothers would have enough help.

At this point of the party it was time for gifts, and by the looks of things their friends and family really outdid themselves. Chloe's parents bought the baby's crib, and Beca's family got them a stroller and a playpen. Beca and Chloe opened their friend's gifts and received an assortment of baby blankets, stuffed animals, basic things the baby will need like bottles and pacifiers. There were plenty of cute outfits for their daughter, including ones with animal hoods that Chloe specifically wanted. Finally it was Sarah's turn who approached with a big gift basket.

"Oh boy, what'd you do?" Beca asked, grinning.

"I wanted to make sure she was fully prepared," Sarah said, as Beca and Chloe dug in.

This gift basket had everything from blankets and socks to bath toys and baby shampoos. A big stuffed bunny in the middle, and an interactive book to learn musical instruments.

"Wow, this is great. Thank you," Beca told her.

"Okay, this one is from me," Aubrey said as she handed them their gift.

"Great, I was hoping we would get baby monitors. These look like good ones. Thank you, Aubrey," Chloe said.

"Yeah, you can connect it to an app on your phone, so you can keep an eye on her in the other room."

As the last of the gifts were being opened up, Stacie got them a toy chest, and Flo got them a mobile with moons and stars hanging from it. Overall Beca and Chloe are very happy with the gifts for their little one. At least half the Bellas are mothers now, and it excited them to have all the kids play together, and hopefully form tight bonds as this group of women has.

The shower is now starting to wind down, and Stacie and Sarah have stayed behind to help clean up, while Chloe is putting the new baby clothes away. Beca comes up to Sarah in the kitchen giving her a hug.

"Thank you for today. It was a really great time."

"It was nothing. Stacie is the master decorator, I mostly took care of the food," Sarah told her.

"Well either way, you did awesome, and I thank you."

"Of course," Sarah smiled.

Moments later Chloe emerged from the nursery, grabbed some leftover cookies, and plopped herself on the couch.

"I think my favorite gift is the toy chest from Stacie. Made it easier to put everything away."

"I really like that it has wheels. Where did you find that one anyway?" Beca asked.

"It was the same one we got Bella. I knew it would come in handy."

"It definitely did," Chloe said.

Most of the food and decorations were cleaned up and put away. Sarah and Stacie were both sent home with some leftovers before heading out, leaving Beca and Chloe on their own again. Chloe's due date is weeks away, and with more baby stuff in their home, it's starting to feel real. They just hoped to be prepared for everything motherhood would throw at them.
